| I listen in just about every format one can without having 8-tracks or Edison cylinders.
A fair chunk of my collection is ripped to my computer, but as I'm in the process of moving over to FLAC from MP3, it's a bit spotty at the moment. My stereo is respectable, so I just throw the CDs in the changer and let it go.
For some true inception, I listen to cds while I'm ripping cds, so someone can cue the Xzibit meme here...

| I only listen to cds. I take very good care of them.
never been into technology and never trusted hard disks.
as a matter of fact I do not plan to sell my bmw any time soon, simply because it has a cd box where I put 6 cds to listen to during the week.
In july I am travelling to cyprus for business. I already located a couple of cd shops where I will be spending my entire budget. I love cds.

'Cuz it's a black metal case. Heh. There is so much out there in black metal to discover. For death metal or thrash metal hybrids, check out Blasphemy and Deströyer 666. If you're into something closer to traditional stuff, do check out some Hellenic black metal (e.g. Zemial, Thou Art Lord).
Generally, when I think of black metal, I think of the first wave -- bands such as Sepultura, Sarcófago, Celtic Frost, Venom, Mercyful Fate, Running Wild, Death SS, Bulldozer, Destruction, Sodom, Bathory, and so on. Stuff that's not pure black metal, but not necessarily pure speed metal or heavy metal.
I love the way those bands sounded in their early stuff, and it's good to see a band like Midnight carry on the spirit of the first wave. I also just got into Devil Lee Rot, whose music is quite like a blackened version of Iron Maiden's music. Wonder how much you'd have to say in a thread about "black metal" as opposed to one about if we still listen to our cds _________________

Bah! Pozer! Edison cylinders are the only tr00 way to listen to arkayne steele ehehehehehehe! I got turned off of Edison cylinders after playing Goddess of Desire on one summoned up a bunch of ironically theatrical metalheads. It took a troupe of priests and a Celine Dion CD to clear that infestation.

| When I get a CD, I will play it in my vehicle but they all eventually go into my computer. I really don't listen to music much these days and when I do it's usually 5-6 songs in a playlist I listen to before work. If I still had a job were I could listen to music I would not probably do physical CDs anyways. It's easier to just stick with an MP3 player as they are much easier to carry around than a bunch of CDs. Also when I did just listen to the physical thing they'd get all mixed up or scratched. My budget these days is too tight to get CDs or even download legally. If I were to get new music free digital downloads is all I could afford. | |

I'd say lots; where is the thread? http://www.heartofmetal.net/t19208-sooooo-black-metal And that's just one of them! About every several months there is black metal thread that pops up around here. And almost always without fail someone posts a video of a band of black people playing metal as a joke.

How's this one ? Clerk at hardware store: "Sir, this tool box comes in hard plastic or metal. The plastic is available in red, blue. or gray. The metal comes only in black" Painkiller: " There is so much out there in black metal to discover. For death metal or thrash metal hybrids, check out Blasphemy and Deströyer 666.
