| Ozzmosis followed by Ultimate Sin. Only one I don't like at all is Down to Earth. | |

| No More Tears is my personal favorite. That was the first Ozzy album I bought as a new release. Wore out the cassette before upgrading to cd a few years later.
After that album, they get a little hit-and-miss for me. Some good songs, but no great albums. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Probably the heaviest album Ozzy ever did if you don't count the ballads. Like MG, I killed my cassette from overplay. Still listen to it more than the others.

| I enjoy it a lot, probably third after Ultimate Sin. I listen to these latter albums way more then the RR albums, just wore those out. | |

| ultimate sin and no rest for the wicked.... Ultimate sin being my favorite Ozzy album besides the randy albums. No rest for the wicked held onto that 80s sound and was pretty cool but everything after that Zakk got on my nerves...I still dont care much for his playing today.. | |

| I liked "No Rest For The Wicked" at first glance, but Zak pretty much blew his wad on that album and the little I've heard since is very repetitive and predictable. Like S.D stated, a few decent tunes spread out over the years. The Jake albums are good, but nowadays my favorite is "Speak Of The Devil". Love the 80's metal interpretation of songs I grew up with. Way better than Live Evil (IMHDO) _________________ | |

I really like this one, but I don't think there's any mistaking a drop in quality songwriting here, the first two were simply mint!

Personally, I think some of the strongest songwriting in Ozzy's career is found on NMT.

| My favorite post-Randy is 'Bark at the Moon' and 30 years later, it still sounds killer, my second fav would be 'No More Tears' | |

Yea, me too, and all I'm saying is making music heavier doesn't mean it will be better, it may suck! There certainly is some good songwriting on NMT, to each his own, I found the first two w/Randy to be plenty heavy enough, and something about them was just magical...

| Got to admit my love for Speak of the Devil (or Talk of the Devil as it was called in the U.K), it was my proper introduction to some great Sabbath classics, of course the originals are better but these were the versions that I got into first and I played that record to death. | |

| It was a cool version of those songs, re-tooled for the 80's, "metaled up", if you will! | |

And there's no reason why you should. It was never the less an important record for me and I'm giving it a listen now for the first time in decades and it is a pretty good record, a lot better than Live Evil IMHO

| Speak of the Devil is cool IMO. Brad Gillis added his own touch to some classic Sabbath/Ozzy material. | |

| Been listening to some of the latter day Ozzy lp's on youtube lately, I may have misjudged them, though I still think the last two are pretty useless... | |

| The Ultimate Sin is one of my favorite albums of all time from any artist. I like it even more than Blizzard of Ozz. It's very underrated. Second is Bark At The Moon. I like that album a lot, too, but consider Ultimate more solid. | |

| I think it's fair to discuss what I like to call his "elder albums" as well.
I lost track after Ozzmosis, really. It had a couple of cool heavy numbers but far too much balladry and then Zakk left the band so I lost interest. What is everyone's opinions on Down to Earth and beyond?
