Grey's Anatomy My wife is watching Coven. I'm sorry but I threw this show out the window. Headache-inducing.

I love it, completely campy and over-the-top, I've started playing a game called "count the crazy camera angles". I think it's audacious, goofy nonsense and I have a soft spot for shows that don't take themselves too seriously.

Exactly, it teeters on the edge of self-parody of a parody. I usually love that kind of stuff too, but this is just an inch too much for me.
Jesus. I just looked up and this wide angle shot starts upside down and rotates as it tracks forward while tilting. Like a wormhole. And in this reality no one stands on level ground. I admit there is humor to be found here.

I'm just about hanging in there with it but I'm finding it a little too silly this time around. I thought that last seasons 1000mph 'throw everything, including the kitchen sink in' approach worked better than this season. The mute butler guy is superbly creepy though!

I loved season 1 of American Horror Story and absolutely hated season 2, in fact I never finished it. But I'm enjoying this year, I've got a soft spot for witch stories.

My wife was watching Glee and I had nothing better to do. Seriously, someone help me figure out how to pull her away from this awful show. It stands for everything I am against, and tonight's episode, for the most part, was pro-twerking. My wife has way more class than this yet still continues to keep with it for some inane reason. This show and it's terrible song and dance needs to end.

The Cottage (2012)
Dreary suburban thriller in which a family rents out their backyard cottage to a guy who seems nice at first, of course, but eventually turns out to be a psycho looking to add their daughter to his Charles Manson-style 'harem' of 'wives.' Predictable mayhem follows. Not good, not particularly bad, just bland. The DVD cover promised something more horror-based than the movie delivered. This flick was suitable for the Lifetime channel.

I agree, this season is way better than season 2. The wild and crazy stuff just works for me this time.

I've decided to keep the SG-! discs in the upstairs DVD player and to watch the entire Saw series downstairs while I'm on the elliptical. I'm tired of running whatever SG-1 disc I'm watching up and down the steps. So today on the elliptical I started:

The most recent episode (titled "A Fistful of Meg") was the best episode so far this season. I love the scene where Meg was at Quagmire's house, and he tried to get her in better shape for a fight.

I watched some of that game too.
The Eagles look like a totally different team with Foles at QB.

Teen Wolf (1985)
Silly teen comedy starring Michael J. Fox as a high school nerd who discovers a quick path to popularity and basketball stardom... by letting his inner werewolf out.
My kids found this on Netflix this afternoon and asked to watch it because 'the Back to the Future Guy is in it.' I hadn't seen this flick since its original HBO run in the mid 80s, but I didn't remember it being very good even back then. Well, let's just say it hasn't improved with age.
Michael J. Fox should thank his lucky stars that 'Back to the Future' was released before this flick in the summer of '85, otherwise his movie career might never have gotten off the ground!!
