I should check out the books, if I can find them.
I haven't looked for them in a while but last time I checked (late 90s/early 2000s maybe?) the "Destroyer" series was still being published by Gold Eagle Books (who also publish the never-ending "Mack Bolan, The Executioner" action series)...
*EDIT* Looks like there's tons of 'em on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_12?rh=n%3A720360%2Ck%3AThe+Destroyer&keywords=The+Destroyer&ie=UTF8&qid=1379948725&rnid=2941120011

Vertigo
That is the only Hitchcock that I couldn't really get into. Didn't hate it or anything - just kind of a one and done type movie for me. Shadow Of A Doubt is probably my favorite Hitchcock.
Vertigo did influence one of my all time favorite music videos....
