AFI's 100 Years, 100 movies. How many have you seen?

AFI's (American Film Institute) 100 Years/100 Movies list. Just curious to see how many of these people have seen.

I've watched 86 out of 100 and seen clips of the rest.

They've changed that list since that was published. The AFI considers Vertigo to be the #1 movie.

There are two different versions on AFI's website, the one I posted is the "10th anniversary list".

I know for sure that I've seen 35 of these. Possibly several more. There are a couple of Charlie Chaplin films on the list and I watched a whole crapload of Chaplin in a Film Study course in college, however it's been so long that I don't remember exactly which ones I saw.

Only 23 from that list. There are plenty on there that I have always wanted to see but for whatever reason, I've never gotten around to it.

I have seen 90 of the movies on the list, and surprisingly own a huge number of them

I love that they have included a couple of Marx Bothers films, a fitting tribute to the greats, but I am wondering why no Abbott & Costello?

Not surprisingly, I've only seen 18 from that list. Not a lot of monsters, Python or gore in the list.

I used to carry around a little fold-up pocket schedule-type of the AFI's Top 100 films in my wallet and check-'em off as I viewed them.

All but one, Best Years of Our Lives. I've never even heard of it.

Glad to see Heat of the Night getting some recognition. Awesome film that's aged well.

Best Years Of Our Lives is a fantastic movie and one of my favorites from the 1940s. It is about returning veterans from WWII and the troubles they face re-adjusting to family life (and how their families have to adjust as well), getting jobs, dealing with injuries, etc. Wonderful cast featuring Frederic March, Myrna Loy, Teresa Wright, Dana Andrews and Hoagy Carmichael. Best Picture winner 1946.

I know what I'll be watching this weekend. Nice to see a postwar film tackle these issues. Most movies made the war seem like a vacation and, boom, our boys are back to their song and dance or whatever it may be.

40 for sure, portions of about 10 more. I need to watch more of these.

24 that I actually remember seeing. Could be a couple more though.

23 or 24 (I'm not sure about A Night at the Opera) that I've seen all or almost all of. Quite a few others I've either seen bits of or plan to see at some point.

Just the fact that people think that movie is sooooooo gory when in fact it's almost bloodless tells me it's great filmmaking.
