Keel? Well nothing against them, but USPM pls. The Rods, Mass, Lizzy? Whatever I'd add Mystic Force, Throes of Sanity, Oracle (Prodigy), Talisphere, Lords of the Crimosn Alliance, Zion Abyss and perhaps Zaxas. Also Dark Age with their lonely EP from 1984 I never cared for, but it's right there at the origins of USPM praised by most fans.

I was thinking the same thing with Lizzy and Keel, but then again I'm not terribly familiar with their music and since they were recommended here I figured there was a period I had never heard of where they went USPM. And Mass is much more doom but the clips ult posted were pretty PM. What does everyone else think? Should these bands BOU mentioned?
Will add those other bands now.

Another band that I think fits the description here(sorry if they have already been mentioned) is Solar Eagle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D5AZylH5XE

Huge list. During the last couple of years I invested a lot into this genre.
Warning sf are the latest band I got into. Excellent stuff.

Glad you like it! I was able to get in touch with the frontman and sadly it seems like they're breaking up. Supposedly a final album is in the works, though. You can find this one on Amazon. The whole record is top notch.

...which reminds me of an album that wants a remaster.
On an unrelated note - wish these guys made an album. The energy is gigantic.

Breaker from Cleveland definitely needs to be on this list. Top notch USPM from the excellent Auburn Records label.
Here's their cover of Scorpions "Pictured Life:"

Hicks, their name is just Thruster. The song in that link was called "The Conflict." Frankly, I am shocked some dude in Russia is name checking a Cincinnati metal band. Hell, I lived in Cincinnati for 40 years, and Thruster was not very memorable, and I have seen them live!

Fixed, thank you. That makes much more sense now.
I'm not seeing an album from Thruster anywhere. I'm guessing they were on a comp or two, or some obscure demo??

So a sole LP released in 2009...hey that's krokus giving the review in the RYM link...and that's all? Looks like all they had in the 80's was a single, unless that LP is an earlier recording.
EDIT: RYM lists the release date of MIA as 2009, yet MA lists it as 1986.

The album was definitely in released in 1986 (cassette only) and there was a vinyl re-release in 2009.
