| Remember these great bands?:
Metal Church Liege Lord Damien Deadly Blessing Sanctuary Cirith Ungol Savatage Hittman Oliver Magnum Heretic Jag Panzer Attacker Crimson Glory Helstar Banshee Omen Can you name any more early American Power Metal bands? I think the American stuff has a slightly different heavier sound, than the later sounds popularized by Hammerfall, Blind Guardian etc.

| CAULDRON BORN have a new EP on the way.
DEADLY BLESSING got a new singer, changed their style, and released a demo a couple of years ago.
HELSTAR are still very active.
ANTITHESIS released a new album last year.
CRIMSON GLORY have an incredible new singer, have played several shows (one of which I saw), and have a new album in the works.
Ronny Munroe from METAL CHURCH is very active.
MALICE have Rivera at the mike now and are playing shows again.
I'm waiting for LETHAL to release a new album.
ATTACKER finally got a new singer and I assume are working on new material.
JAG PANZER just released a new album.

They did, but Ronny Munroe (most recent MC frontman) released a solo album fairly recently. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I only like one LEATHERWOLF song, "Behind the Gun".
WINTERS BANE have a new singer and are recording on a new album.
I think OMEN have just released a new album. (but they are technically Canadian).

| It should come as no surprise that my favorite band that you mentioned in that list is easily Metal Church. Their first two albums are desert island material IMO. Some bands I really like that haven't been mentioned so far include Sacred Oath, Savage Grace, Abattoir, Griffin, Obsession, Damien Thorne, Bloodlust, Amulance, etc. As far as it still being around, Sacred Oath is still at it and have released three albums in the last four years. I really love their 2007 offering, Darkness Visible, absolutely phenomenal album! | |

| Another great band is Prototype. They may be a bit more proggy and have jazz influences, but they are right about in this area. | |
