So I've taken up jogging to try and stay in shape. I like listening to music as I am frolicing through the woods. What are some good songs for that?

Although I'm not jogging, my workout music is just a huge part of my collection played on shuffle (500 cds). I find that it all really gets me going be it Anthrax, Loudness, Maiden, or whatever.

Vicious Rumors and Metal Church first popped in my mind. Make me want to break stuff. Same goes for some KSE and AILD, but you may not like simple metalcore.

I was going to say 007 needs to chime in since it seems like you only ever listen to music on the elliptical!

Back when I used to work out, any and all thrash was on the menu.
"Frolicking through the woods" as you say, you might want to considder something less harsh, lest you keep charging headfirst into trees and scaring all the woodland fairies, nymphs and gnomes you surely encounter in that magical land you inhabit.

VR and Metal Church are great choices. Also throw some Helloween and Gamma Ray in the mix.

I find a lot of thrash and speed metal gives me the push to work harder.
Today I was on the stairway from hell machine doing some cardio and Kreator was blasting through my earbuds.

I do listen to music most of the time, I only post what I listen to while I workout in the morning.

Metal Church is a good one to go to for cardio. I could skip rope like a madman to Blessing in Disguise.

When I hear the word "frolicking" I think of this song for some reason.... Don't know if you can work out to it though.

For running in particular, I like to begin with this song. I love the energy level, and for you to be running through the woods while listening to a song called "The Wolf is Loose" is, I think, a perfect combination.

I used to run quite a bit, 5-8 miles, 5 times per week. I have no time to run at all now.
But when I did there were two bands that were constantly played to keep up the pace, and they were The Ramones and Rose Tattoo.
Not sure why, but just about anything from either band kept me going.

The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner from Somewhere In Time, the tempo from that tune should keep you movin'.

Frolicing through the woods? You definitely need this:
