| BNW by a bit. Powerslave remains my favorite Maiden of all time (saw the tour too which helps). Still spin Powerslave at least once a month. Love the new stuff as well. You can tell they've matured as has their sound, all for the better. One of my top 5 favorite bands of all time…. Now if Priest would figure out what Maiden has……. Cheers, C | |

| Dance of Death. Probably because it was the first post-reunion album I heard, so there is a bit of a nostalgia factor, but it also has some strong tunes. Wildest Dreams, Montsegur, Paschendale, and Journeyman are among my favorites. | |

I also especially love, "age of innocence."

I also especially love, "age of innocence." Killer track!!! Paschendale/Face In The Sand/Age Of Innocence/Journeyman = KILLER end to an album! Of course, the same could be said about the last four tracks on all the post-reunion albums.

| I was on a hiatus from metal for some years and never heard these albums until FF came out and I came back around. It blew my mind, like it was welcoming me back to the fold. The other albums were just as good, although AMOLAD has some minor quibbles. Overall, though, Final Frontier gets my vote for make a huge impact on my musical journey and the sci-fi slant earns some points. | |

| Great to see some discussion here. I dusted off my Maiden discography, recently and thought I should give the 4 most recent albums a few spins. Difficult choice for many. I only choose Dance of Death, since I found it quite accessible. However, the other three albums seem to be very rewarding upon repeated listens. | |

That is the thing with those other reunion albums, post BNW, it takes a few spins for them to sink in at least IMO

| one and only BNW, for me the rest is unlisteable. weakest is DoD. AMOLAD and TFF are "epic" and i dont like "conceptinal epic" in case of IM as copule of songs yes as Alexander/7th/Mother Russia/... but not whole album. they arent built for that since beginning. | |

| Dance With Death gets unfairly ignored, well mostly unfairly because the horrible production and artwork knock it down a few pegs...but there are some really great songs on that record.
Age Of Innocence and No More Lies are two of my favorite Maiden songs from the reunion era.
The album doesn't quite feel like a cohesive whole, but as a collection of songs it works fine. |

That album took me awhile longer to get into it and it was not til I saw them perform the songs live, they appreciated the disc. I agree it does not feel cohesive, it just not flow as well as other albums.

Just my opinion, but Alexander the Great and Mother Russia are probably the two worst "epic" Maiden songs. A little bit awkward and a little forced sounding. Like "we need an epic, so let's just put whatever leftover melodies we have and quickly write halfassed lyrics". Even To Tame a Land is better than Mother Russia. Compared to those, Life and Death and the second half of Final Frontier are both a lot better.

You said it, bro. Unfortunately when I think of Dance of Death, the first thing coming to my mind is not Paschendale or Rainmaker or any of the awesome songs, it's that dreadful CGI cover art. Sometimes a good cover can make an album more likeable, most of the time a cover makes no difference at all, but that is such a bad one it makes you question the contents. The songs are all really awesome though, so listening to it will help, and there's not much to complain about. Face in the Sand is another underrated classic from that record.

Face in the Sand is another underrated classic from that record. So agree witrh this. I haven't even heard it in full, only some songs on youtube, just beacause I can't make myself buy the CD with an art that awful.

The album doesn't quite feel like a cohesive whole, but as a collection of songs it works fine. The cover art sucks... not sure what they were thinking... it was originally just Eddie on the cover art, then someone decided to add the extra "figures" to make it busier. The production is pretty bad (still not No Prayer or X-Factor/Virtual XI bad) BUT the 5.1 mix on the DVD Audio disc sounds much better. Some great songs on the album - I think if they were in a different sequence, the album would flow better. Age Of Innocence is a KILLER song. Love the title track! That song is one that works so much better live. The version on En Vivo blows away the studio recording.

| Brave New World got the nod from me. I love that album. The next one is good. The one after that was ok. And the last one is, well, last. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Brave New World was a better 'reunion' album that we had any right to expect. It's also the most 'traditional' sounding release since then, which might explain its popularity. I've enjoyed the increasing prog of the last few albums, but BNW is the one I'd play most of all... even though I really liked The Final Frontier. | |

| My perspective on Brave New World is a little skewed. I didn't hear the album when it came out, the first post-reunion release I bought was the DVD of Rock In Rio. There are several songs from Brave New World in that concert, when I finally heard the studio album I was disappointed because I thought the live versions were superior.
I have a Brave New World playlist I created in iTunes where I substitute the Rock In Rio versions of the songs when one exists.
