Oh yeah... starring Winnie Cooper from "The Wonder Years?" I'm SO there.

The Hunger Games (2012)
Entertaining big budget variation on The Most Dangerous Game/Lord Of The Flies/The Running Man, etc. Much better than I expected.
Coincidentally I finished Battle Royale today. I haven't seen Hunger Games but it strikes me as a toned down version of BR.
I thought that this would be the case as well. Hunger Games is much smarter (which surprised me quite a lot)

American Horror Story - Asylum
Every horror cliche know to man thrown into the mix, often for no good reason, it should be a mess. But it isn't it's fantastic!

Agreed, you have to turn off the "critic" part of your brain and just go with it. I read a really funny review of it recently where the writer said "Who put that kitchen sink in my horror show?"

I freakin forgot about it so I have to wait for it to be On Demand. My dad was watching it and because his TV is always loud and I already missed 45 minutes I had to concentrate so I wouldn't hear what was going on in order to watch it later.

"Justice League: Doom" (2011)
More animated fun from the DC Universe. Vandal Savage recruits the JLA's biggest enemies into a new "Legion Of Doom," and uses secret files on each JLA member stolen from the Batcave to get them out of the way before launching Savage's ultimate take-over-the-world plot. Not much story, but lotsa action.

Ooooh, that sounds cool. There was a trailer on the "Doom" DVD for "Superman Vs. The Elite" and that one looks great too.

My kids are having a sleepover here tonight so I won't be able to catch it while it's on, cuz things are a little crazy...but I already have my DVD recorder set. It's got Winnie from "The Wonder Years" in it. How can I possibly resist?

...dammit dammit dammit I spoke too soon. The kids changed the channel on the TV in my bedroom at some point today, so for the last half hour my DVD recorder has been taping Nickelodeon instead of SyFy Channel. @#$%!!! Guess I'll have to wait for the rerun on this one.

Sorry FF but that's just funny. "Dammit, I missed taping a movie I knew was going to be crappy; I missed it's craptacularness."
Eh, watch the trailer on YouTube; that's probably all you need to see anyway.

I prefer the original Phillip K. Dick story, neither version does it justice.

Went to a friends house for an 8mm movie reel night! It was fun watching short 18 minute versions if Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, Alien and Westworld, as well as cartoons with Woody Woodpecker, and shorts from Abbott & Castello and Harold Lloyd. Good times.
