I just watched Ice-T's documentary The Art Of Rap. Had it's moments. I cringe at the idea that the thing was originally six hours long. Even at under two it got a little tedious. Honestly I wanted more Rakim and Big Daddy Kane. KRS-One's story of how he got to be a rapper is awesome. Ice-T getting frustrated with people video bombing the interviews and the Wu crew was all kinds of great. Man is he turning into a crotchety dude. Also finally got to the bottom of B-Real changing his vocal style in Cypress Hill from when he was part of the Rhyme Syndicate. And damn does Ice-T nail Cypress Hill's appeal especially with their first album.

Got a Prozak album today, Tales from the Sick. I only know him from the Project: Deadman album, Self-Inflicted, which is great. This solo album is as well. Really good stuff.

I quite like the sound of the Prozac record but the dickbag lyrics put me off.
The last hip hop record that I really loved was Public Enemy feat Paris - Remix of a Nation from 2007, great record.
This is not one of the better tracks but there isn't much posted on the net. I also like some of the U.K grime stuff but not sure that would count for this thread.

Prozak has pretty good flow. I'm just not a fan of modern rap production. Always seems too slick for my taste. Bring back the DJs.
Can never go wrong with PE or Paris.

Really? For hip hop I find his lyrics to be pretty mature.

His Mind Blowin album is actually really good. Anyone else releases that and it would've been still talked about. Say what you will about him (and really his poor career decisions ahem Cool As Ice) but he wasn't without rap skills.
Cool as Ice is the funniest accidental comedy of all time.

Hate it! Always have, most likely always will. I do like Rage Against the Machine, and that's as close to rap that I'll listen to. I liked Limp Bizkit for about five minutes back in the 90's, and I liked some band called Reveille for about three minutes. I think rap is crap, and it gets on my nerves for the most part.
