Didn't Pete create new mixes of the songs for the shows. I'm pretty sure I've never heard them do the song that way on CSI NY. I think it's great that bands get played on TV/movies. Sometimes it really sets it up and makes it better. I usually fast forward the opening stuff of most shows and stop and listen/watch the CSI openers. Good songs and good choices for the series.

| You know, I really should go to that LA concert. It's a good bet this may be it for Iommi, even though he has a good fighting chance, but here is the first, the genesis, the authors of heavy metal, and to have that one chance to see them before they're no more...I think it's worth the money. | |

| There is a rumored Philly show to be added shortly. I'll be there for that one. And if these stories are to be believed...

| One wonders if Sharon takes leave maybe Bill will be back. But, ah, I'm sure she's signed enough papers to own Ozzy's endeavors until a new earth is found. | |

| Anyone else really not care if Ozzy is on drugs, off drugs, still with Sharon or run off to a Malibu love nest with the Olsen twins?
I just want the Sabbath album to be good. Other than that, I've got no interest.

I just want the Sabbath album to be good. Other than that, I've got no interest. My thoughts are that an Ozzy without Sharon there to hold his hand will result in a doddering, drugged-out old man that will stick a fork in the toaster or microwave the tv remote and blow himself up within a week. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Stream (with intermittent station IDs inserted) of the new single "God Is Dead" is available to listen to here:

Geezer's bass sounds like it's strung with high tension wires (as it should be). |

Geezer's bass sounds like it's strung with high tension wires (as it should be). Amazing how they sound like an almost totally different band than Heaven and Hell. Pretty good for a bunch of guys my dad's age. Pretty good for a bunch of guys any age. The bass solo is especially appreciated!

Geezer's bass sounds like it's strung with high tension wires (as it should be). Not bad, but it sounds a lot like an Ozzy solo song.

| It's a slow "creepy" number, great atmosphere, kicks into a mid-paced thumper near the end. The verse sections in the first segment remind me a little bit of "Megalomania" from Sabotage. Ozzy sounds good, he's sticking to the lower end of his range which fits the mood of this song perfectly.
It's HEAVY. |

It's HEAVY. The song just slithers along....and I love that. That main riff could have been on the last H&H record, but the song would have taken a different direction with DIO. I like that the 2 Sabbaths have their own identity like that.

| Gotta admire the balls of deciding to release a 9-minute track for their first single...and one that contains a bass solo instead of a guitar solo. |

Nine minutes?! How will the radio handle this? Correction: will the radio handle this? Probably gonna be a crappy edit.

Not bad, but it sounds a lot like an Ozzy solo song. Ozzy's phrasing probably has more to do with that than anything, the heavier sections of the track have IOMMI stamped all over them, nobody else can quite emulate that little "shake" he adds to power chords. Remove the vocals and I think most learned metal fans would be able to identify Iommi & Geezer. |
