- Zia Records was okay, but pricey. I mean, they had a 10 for 10 and 20 for 10 bin, so we pilfered a bunch of things from it. Then we got up to the counter and it's like $50 when they ring it all up! You had to buy 10 or 20 to get the deals. Laaaaaame!
Yeah, I hate those type of sales - always feel like I'm playing some weird Price Is Right game in trying to find stuff to make the sale work. I find Zia to be hit or miss most times. The one on Sahara usually always has something interesting plus their movie selection is better. The one on Eastern is total feast or famine. Either find a ton or nothing at all. What were the good places in San Diego should I ever make my way down there? Dallas, good pick-up on that Diving For Pearls. Love that record. Worth what you paid. From gohastings Little Caesar - Influence Adolescents - Return To The Black Hole Plan P PRoject - s/t From amazon seller (who packaged the thing to survive a nuclear holocaust. Think they spent more on packaging than it cost me to buy it.) Wildside - Under The Influence Creatures Of The Night is my favorite Kiss record.

| From Best Buy this afternoon:
Dokken - BROKEN BONES (standard edition)
...$9.99 for the plain ol' CD as opposed to $16.99 for the "deluxe" digi-pac version with the bonus DVD. I figure I would probably never even watch the DVD, plus I'm a cheap bastard, so I went with the plain CD-only version. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

It's probably for the best, I have spent a months worth of CDs in just a few days so I need to hold off on further music spending.

I was actually kinda surprised to see it at this particular Best Buy, cuz their selection generally kinda sucks. Haha. But I happened to be in the same shopping plaza to pickup some camping supplies @ WalMart - since they didn't have the Dokken CD in WalMart (nor did I really expect them to!), I figured I'd peek in Best Buy just for the hell of it. That has to be my favoirte album of the last 10 years! The first time I got it, I listened to it three times in a row. The two follow ups are great as well but that one is still my favorite.

| I went to a horror convention in Maryland over the weekend, and I got a random assortment of music-related things. I bought a DVD of an indie anthology called Drive-In Horrorshow. They were selling the LP of the soundtrack, so I picked that up too, just to support (no idea if it's good): The score for Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, signed by the director (this is a stock photo): | |

| Also, I'll take a pic at some point, but artist Scott Jackson was there selling prints, and he did the covers for those KISS rock n' roll comix. I bought a print of one of the covers. This is the cover, but my print is brighter, and does not have all the logos and such: [img][/img] | |

| Yes it is. I won it off of ebay on a whim.
I was bidding on the Ramones End of the Century disc and the same seller had ...And You up for bid. I threw in a bid for sh*ts & giggles, not thinking I'd actually win. Welp, I got both discs for $8 total. Score! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. [img][/img] I have this comic! Cool that you got to meet the artist. He did some other KISS books for the same publisher, dude has skillz. If memory serves he did the covers for a lot of the Rock N Roll Comics series, but usually the interior art was done by others... and the stuff on the interiors was never as good. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Yeah, he was really cool. Gave me a little insight into the KISS books from RNR Comix...and he had prints for all the KISS books he did, as well as some others. Drooled over his books for a while, but only bought one print. He had a really cool Ozzy print too, in the style of NRFTW album cover.

Wow, where'd you find that one? In the words of Fat Freddy, that's rarer than a hen's teeth. Yeah, that's a toughie. Of course, years ago when it was a recent release, I was practically tripping over that damn thing in every used record store I went to in Jersey (as the band was Jersey based)... I had no idea of the connection to the Misfits at that time, so I ignored it. Now that I'd like to actually have one, they're rarer than the aforementioned hen molars. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

This doesn't seem too bad, from an Amazon seller (it's from Greece...don't know how that works in buying from sellers): http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B006FTOTOS/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new And who from The Misfits is in the band? I knew JSS sang for them, but I never knew anyone 'Fits were in it. I don't know much about the band...just heard of them in passing, because of the Soto thing.
