That is one of my favorite concert DVDs and was also my introduction to Opeth. Great performance. |

News Flash: Ulyimatum just got deleted from Wikipedia. it was because of the y!!! Nah, I think someone over there just has a thing about bands who's name ends in "matum". "Down with "matum" bands!!!" It's a shame because my new band "Attack of the Killer Tomatums" was just starting to take off. Even worse for my friend's band "If You Can't Join 'Em, Mate 'Em". _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| My first haul of the year (there goes the last of my Christmas music) at my usual CD haunt (two of them were free-already had points for 1, purchased enough to get another free one):
New:
$11.99 Quiet Riot-Condition Critical
Used:
$7.95 Flies On Fire-s/t April Wine-Attitude
$8.95 Backyard Babies-Tinnitus Various Artists-Gigatour 2 (didn't get to see it in person, so what the hell?) Arcturus-The Sham Mirrors White Trash-s/t
$14.95 T.S.O.L.-Dance With Me (over $70 used on Amazon)
$24.95 Dirty Looks-Turn Of The Screw (a bit higher than I usually spend on rare CDs, but it's the same price used on Amazon)

A great record that shows E.L.O. was just as good of a progressive rock group as they were a pop group. |

$24.95 Dirty Looks-Turn Of The Screw (a bit higher than I usually spend on rare CDs, but it's the same price used on Amazon) Two real good pick-ups there. Didn't know that TSOL had become so pricey, got mine from secondspin for five I believe. Love that record. I even dig the later day TSOL releases. Never minded the stylistic changes at all. And that Dirty Looks record is worth every penny. I'll also say that April Wine disc is criminally under-rated - I'm guessing you'll really like it. Less I say about Flies On Fire the better - hope you at least like it some. Seemed like something I'd be into and I just wasn't unfortunately. Love getting the freebies for frequently buying. - Quote :

Quite honestly my favorite ELO record hands down. I know, I know. Just always loved it. Though the bonus tracks don't add much to it.

$24.95 Dirty Looks-Turn Of The Screw (a bit higher than I usually spend on rare CDs, but it's the same price used on Amazon) I see some good stuff on that list (especially in the 7.98 section). The first on in the 8.95 section ain't bad either. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| That place is my favorite CD store. It is the longest running independently owned used CD store in my area and I always find good stuff there. The frequent buyer program is my best friend. I really like the second Flies On Fire and when I scanned through the CD I realized this one would be no different. I listened to most of them before deciding. TSOL CD has the kind of punk I enjoy, April Wine had the late 80s/early 90s MHR sound down pat, White Trash has some funky hard rock that got my attention, and I already knew what to expect with Dirty Looks and Backyard Babies. However, due to the price, I had to listen to Dirty Looks to make sure it would be worth the extra price (usually I try not to spend more than $20 on rare CDs). Fortunatly, I got about $250 of Christmas money so all my CD buying activity won't hurt me TOO much. | |
