First purchase of the year was a free download of a bunch of metal bands from a newish label out of Chicago called True Metal Never Rusts Volume 1.

I tried to like Sinergy and that's the album I started with. It just didn't grab but I will say the track "I Spit On Your Grave" found its way on to a lot of "workout CDs" back in the day. Still the only song I really remember from that album.

I'd like to hear Goss sing in another band. She just disappeared off the face of the Earth as well.

Scored an early CD-pressing of Manowar's Battle Hymns for 7 dollars!!

This is a pressing from Holland released via Electrola (the year of pressing on the CD and many Manowar websites is 1982).

Really happy about this.

I love the original raw heavy metal sound it has that traditional original early 80s sound - something which I feel the Silver Edition (i.e. the remastered version) took away.
