CD:
Wizz - Crazy Games Saigon - One Must Die
Vinyl:
Judas Priest - Freewheel Burning 12" single - UK import - This is a noteworthy single because the version of Freewheel Burning is different than the album version. It has a completely different intro added to it and has never been released on any cd including their recent UK singles collection box set. Check it out:

Re: Freewheel Burning
They must have done that prior to the release of the album and then decided not to use it on the LP version. The edit when the guitar kicks in is sloppy, sounds like it was hastily thrown together.

You are correct. This single was pre-release.

The MP3 album of Diary of a Madman.
I had the cassette, and then CD years ago. Both long gone. I had been craving a Diary listen, so bought it for $4something on eMusic. I'm not sure which version these MP3s come from, and I wouldn't even really know any difference.
If I ever decided to add the disc to my collection again, I will get the Legacy edition. For now, though, this has satisfied my craving. Such a good album. My first Ozzy album, and still my favorite. I originally bought the cassette at a yardsale for a quarter, in 1989 or so. It was coverless, so I made my own cover, which was a picture of the grim reaper I cut out of some music mag. That faux cover is almost more the official cover to the album than its actual cover.

Yea just came out. Fabio is still with them. Get the 2 cd version. It comes with a Best Of Cd where they re-recorded a bunch of songs that Fabio didn't sing on. I haven't listened to it yet but what I skipped through sounds pretty good. I just got done listening to most of the regular album and that was really good.

I just ordered:
Axxis - Rediscover(ed) Masterplan - Time to Be King Mercury Tide - Killing Saw UFO - Walk on Water
I know I know, I didn't actually get them yet, so it's a useless boring post without impressions or comments. But I'll make up for it with random commentary.
The Axxis release is a cover album with the weirdest track list imaginable. A power metal band covering Kraftwerk, Boney M and Celine Dion? I ordered from their website as they offered the best price and free shipping.
This will be my first Masterplan album. I got a good price and it's the limited edition with a bonus track. I've been meaning to buy a Masterplan album for... well, for as long as it has been since the band started recording music.
And hey, Mercury Tide has a new album! That's Dirk Thurisch's band (yes, that Angel Dust guy). Speaking of Angel Dust, it doesn't look like they will return. Here's an interview with Dirk:
"What is the status of Angel Dust now, after your return to MERCURY TIDE?
Angel Dust is a long story of a back and forth. We already tried it again in 2010, but it only worked out at the beginning. We also played two new songs at two shows, but after a short time, we realised that this wouldn't just do it and the band fought each other again. So we decided to put Angel Dust back on ice and now nobody knows what is going to happen with it in the future. But it is great that I continued making music with MERCURY TIDE."
I never got Mercury Tide's first album "Why?", but I figured I'll give the new one a shot.
UFO - Walk on Water I've been meaning to buy for years now. I've almost bought it multiple times. Now the only thing that could prevent me from getting it is a problem with shipping *knocks on wood*

You're a braver person than me, Lari. I don't count anything until it is actually in my possession. Too many seller or USPS screw-ups always make me nervous. And I say that as someone who in the last month has purchased Quiet Riot's QR album only to have it be a their Greatest Hits album. TWICE this has happened.
From Amoeba
Fear Of God - Within The Veil Vandenberg - Alibi
From Hastings 5 for 25 sale
Casus Belli - In The Name Of The Rose Iron Savior -s/t Samhain - Final Descent Samhain - November-Coming-Fire Metallica - Ride The Lightning (needed a fifth so figured why not replace my battered old copy)
From Goodwill
Wild Boyz - Unleashed!

Scored the following vinyl at Half Price Books:
Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time - this is in unbelievable shape, NM+ at the worst. The jacket is glossy and without any damage. The lyric sheet inner sleeve is intact and untorn. The vinyl is glossy and perfect. Whoever had this took great care of it or never listened to it. Also, this album is a perfect example of why vinyl is superior to CDs or downloads because you can peruse the artwork easily and pick out all the hidden things. That's impossible to do with the CD version.

I understand the lure of vinyl but I have enough CDs to buy that I couldn't get them all without winning the Lottery (with a large jackpot). I would persue vinyl if I were to win said lottery, but since that ain't happening...

Finally found a copy after two Best Buys and three Wal-Marts. Sucks though to pay $12 for a cardboard sleeve.

Another Half Price Books vinyl score today:
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden - The jacket is in okay shape but the vinyl is near mint. The very cool thing about it is that this is the Harvest Records release and not the EMI re-release!
