| I was a huge huge KISS fan back then, and I would have defended any KISS album back then, even if they had released an album of nothing but polka tunes I would have defended it! Looking back on it now, I do wonder why I liked it so much back then.
BTW Mark St. John was a great guitarist, more like Vinnie Vincent then Ace.

Agreed. Too bad he didn't make any other albums with them.

| I always chuckle at how Paul Stanley summed up Mark St. John's tenure with the band in the X-Treme Close Up video -- "I don't know who the last Pope was, but there was a Pope that nobody got to see. They elected him Pope, and then the Pope died." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Speaking of KISS more, more merchandising coming your way:
I was just saying the other day to someone that Kiss needs more merchandise. "I mean, come on! There's just not enough of it!"
Well, Gene Simmons must have heard me, because in a new interview the Kiss bassist -- and in all seriousness, one of the best business men in music -- revealed that the video game realm might be next for Kiss.
Starting on the smaller scale of mobile gaming, Simmons told Industry Gamers that: "We’re talking with Angry Birds, KISS and Angry Birds, which will become a deal."
Fans may remember that there was indeed a video game released around the time of 1998's Psycho Circus, but that game's lukewarm reception hasn't stopped Simmons front wanting to tackle the console gaming market.
"Well, we’re talking with Sony games now," he said. "We are really trying to take it in areas that haven’t been done before and have stayed out of the marketplace because the ideas simply weren’t exciting enough. So while the gaming world is waiting for the KISS games that are going to explode, we’re busy taking the brand to places where no band has gone before."

| re: 80's Kiss
Unmasked (never heard it)
The Elder - heard it once, that's good enough
Creatures Of The Night - my favorite 80's Kiss record by a mile.
Lick It Up - almost in the same league as Creatures, I played this one quite a bit at the time.
Animalize - Loved it when I was 13, but I feel no need to revisit it now. If I hear Heavens On Fire I'm liable to destroy my stereo, so best to avoid it.
Asylum - Purchased on release date in 1985, a friend and I listened to the album once, then we took it out into the back yard and played frisbee with it for awhile, before smashing it to pieces.
Didn't buy another Kiss album until Revenge came out.

It's got 3 of Ace's best songs ever...those were the 3 that I played over and over from that album. "Torpedo Girl", "Two Sides Of The Coin" and "Talk To Me"...all 3 were hook-filled goodness.

| For those of you who missed out on the original line of KISS action figures introduced in 1977 by the Mego toymakers, this is for you. Figures Toy Company has announced a line of KISS action figures made in the image of those collectibles. In addition to recreating the original 12-inch toys that were popular in the late ’70s, Figures will produce the four original KISS members in 8-inch versions. “Our first release will have the retro look from the 1970s, but future releases will cover all time periods in KISS’s almost-40-year musical career from 1973 to 2012,” said Figures CFO Paul Balasco. The next editions in the works will feature the band in the Sonic Boom, Dressed to Kill and debut album eras. Both editions, which feature the band’s Love Gun-era looks, will be available starting in March. The 8-inch figures each come with a mini Love Gun album cover. The 12-inchers come with one of four mini KISS concert T-shirts. _________________ | |

Sweet!! Finally, I can get that Mark St. John doll I've wanted for so long!! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
