| Going to see KISS in Atlanta on August 31st. This will be my sixth time to see them in concert, but I'm still excited. They are, after all, my all-time favorite band. Unfortunately, the two opening bands are The Envy and The Academy Is. I checked out The Envy's myspace page... boriiing. I know why they're opening for KISS, because they are the first band signed to Gene's Canadian record deal, but honestly, they don't fit the bill at all. KISS used to have cool bands open for them. What happened? | |

I didn't even hear them - got the show when "The Academy Is" was playing and they bored me to tears! They looked Emo!

I didn't even hear them - got the show when "The Academy Is" was playing and they bored me to tears! They looked Emo! A close friend of my family is (or was) dating the drummer. She played me some of their music. I thought it was terrible and a terrible band name as well. But she seemed happy with him. They don't strike me as a good fit for a KISS crowd either. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | The older I get, the less I like KISS. I'm not sure why that is. I still like them and all, but for some reason they just don't do it for me anymore. Sorry Gene, I enjoy your work, but I don't think you'll be getting any more of my money anytime soon.

| Further proof that I'm an utter KISS geek (as if you needed further proof?)... just bought these two KISS Xmas tree ornaments at Walgreen's. They only had Gene & Paul, but if they'd had Ace and/or Peter I would've bought them too. The wife just rolled her eyes when I showed'em to her and sighed, " Whatever..." I'm sure some of you are going "Oh pleeeeeze" and some others are going "Way cool!" ... for the "Way cool!" crowd, you can find these babies at your local Walgreens' for $5 each. How can you possibly resist? _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I work at Walgreens and I bought those two ornaments a few weeks back as soon as they rolled off the truck and before they hit the shelves. | |

Nice! Do Ace & Peter ornaments exist, or are there only Gene & Paul? In "my" store they only had a shelf full of G&P. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Way Cool! I'm currently drinking out of my Ace pint glass while I type this. I'm a sucker for these things. Though I know deep down I'd never be able to actually get those ornaments onto the tree. - Quote :

It would be nice to have a set of all four. Oh well. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I went to a couple Walgreens yesterday. Picked up the Gene & Paul figures. Thought it was odd that they shared a tray with Elvis.
In both Walgreens I went too, there were a ton of Gene Simmons figures and only one Paul in the box. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!
