Geoff Tate to Rocklahoma, "You Guys Suck"

I've never seen a musician put out a random EPK that is all about himself. This isn't about his upcoming solo album, it's not specifically about Queensryche, it's about how cool his life is. Clearly this is intended to sway opinion that he's not at fault with the whole Queensryche debacle, and it's a piss-poor misguided attempt at that.

I just don't get it.

And damn, he's got a serious gonna-get-close-to-you-and-rape-you voice in this thing. Haha.

It's gotta be PR to give to labels or to help him book tours. Otherwise I don't understand it either.

I think he has a lot more business acumen (and perhaps even creativity) than the rest of QR that he left behind.

It was sarcasm. I was pointing out that I think that's what the video is trying to portray, that he's the "good guy."

Tate's playing two dates in New Jersey in October, and then "Queensryche" has a Jersey date in March. I'm almost curious enough to go see one or the other.

I get to one concert every couple of years if I'm lucky. If anything, I'd be more curious about seeing the "real" Queensryche with the new guy. I've already seen 'em live with Tate twice (1995 and 2000).
