'Snow' is awful. Check out the self-titled and 'Feel Euphoria', those are probably the best ones with Nick on vocals. Just great great stuff.
I tried to like Snow, but just couldn't..... Especially after as awesome as V was.
I think I have those two post-Morse albums. I'll have to listen to them again.
OMFG!!!!!!!! You two are in serious need of hearing aids! Snow is one of the best prog albums of the last twenty years. Going to be hard to take any of your opinions on music seriously anymore (not really as for the most part you guys have good opinions on music). However, I think you guys are dead wrong about that album (and I do like V).
Well, the 'rock opera' is really hard to pull off for the most part. Even 'The Crimson Idol', as mind blowingly amazing as it is, is kind of awkward in spots ("With these six strings, I'll make a noose..). The songs on there just feel like they are there to carry the story, which is a little awkward, and it should be the story which helps carry the music. I don't think I'd even call 'Snow' prog either. It's missing the dynamic and exploration of the other records, and the production is very, very flat.
I think I could just say 'Blow'.

Well, as I've said many times before, production never bothers me. I understand others are more sensitive to those dynamics than me. However, I still think the album is amazing and I love it as much today as I did the first time I heard it.

Well, I'm not the authority on anything Prog....but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express....so I'm going to chime in.
Anyone heard of Orphan Project? I came across their album "Spooning Out The Sea" by chance and I love it! To my ears it's Prog Rock/Metal.

Most of you probably haven't heard of Divided Multitude, but they kick ass and have a new album out.
I believe this marks their fourth album. I only have one actual album (the rest are downloads) because it's easy to find. It was released by Sensory. But this new one is on Nightmare Records, so it should be easy to come by.

I really liked their first album, but I haven't heard Spooning Out The Sea. I didn't get it when it came out because I was a little annoyed that it featured three out of the four songs on the EP they released between the two albums, and then I forgot about them. Orphan Project's singer was also involved in another band called Fall Of Echoes, which I would definitely recommend if you like Orphan Project.

I want to get that, the new Pretty Maids, and Visions Of Atlantis but I'm waiting for all three to show up for under $10 on Amazon. However, my CD collection has just grown by 21 CDs today so I can wait.

Spooning is amazing! I really don't like worship music, so I really love this record to the fact that it is a great bit of prog rock with lyrics and vocals that can take me to that place.

Hey, speaking of prog and echoes.
The band is Echoes, the album is Nature | Existence. Great album from a relatively unknown band.

Serenity sounds great. I will definitely check them out. On a completely unrelated note, try Raintime.

Raintime are great, but they aren't progressive at all.

This is a new prog metal band I stumbled across called "The Deadstation." They currently have their EP available for free on bandcamp. The link is included on the YouTube page. I've only listened a couple of times, but I like it.
