New Subterranean Masquerade EP coming soon. Finally! Their one and only full-length came out in 2005. This EP is vinyl only, unfortunately, but hopefully a new full-length will follow.
I'm assuming most of haven't heard these guys, so check these out:
Brilliant band!

The new 7" is available now at http://www.submasq.net.
A little pricey for a three-song EP, but with it being so limited I think $17.99 is acceptable.

Wastefall has reunited. Here is a new demo:
Not all that, but it appears to be a song they're not sure about themselves. Fantastic band, though. Here are two old songs:

Shawn O'Fire hipped us to this band a while back. They have a free EP here on Bandcamp: http://shatteredskies.bandcamp.com/album/reanimation-ep
Really great band, too. Just don't make the mistake of buying the CD version of the EP, because it comes with no back insert and no one in the band will acknowledge any comment/complaint about it. Annoying.
But like I said, they're great. Here's a video for a track on their upcoming album:

Bad Salad have a Pledge Music campaign going for a new EP. Looks like it's just a digital thing, but $10 gets you this:
- 1-week early MP3 download of the EP - Instrumental versions of all 3 songs - Stems for all instruments of all 3 songs (5 files per song, one for each instrument and vocals) - Bonus: 2 high-res digital wallpapers of song artworks from “Uncivilized”
Not bad, I guess, if you're into that sorta thing.

I am excited to hear more music from them. I really enjoyed Uncivilized.

Yeah, it's a great album. Hope this EP gets a physical release. They band said it's a digital release "for now."

I wouldn't call them prog.
I also wouldn't call them good. At least I don't find them very compelling... and I have tried. I do like the fretless bass playing.

The new Faceless, Autotheism, is amazing. It seems kinds different at first, and it did take some effort to really have it sink in, but it is The Faceless, and it is awesome.

Just ordered the new Spock's Beard album.
http://www.spocksbeard.com/buystuff.html
There's a limited edition version, which is apparently limited to 5,000—2,500 physical copies and 2,500 digital copies, the latter of which is kind of confusing to me since digital is essential unlimited.
Anyway, great band, sounds like another great album.

Special Providence from Hungary.
Essentially modern fusion combined with some metallic elements here and there, refreshingly melodic.
and a video...

Yeah, these guys are good. I got their first two albums, but not Soul Alert. Should seek that out. But yeah, they're very good.
If you're looking for some instrumental prog, the new Niacin album came out today.
