| After reading over this thread, I was inspired to listen to the Cinderella studio catalog again. After doing so, I feel like I don't really get into their albums as a whole. I could make one really, really good comp disc with the songs I really like. It would look something like this:
The More Things Change Shelter Me One for Rock N Roll War Stories Bad Seamstress Blues Fallin' Apart At The Seams Gypsy Road The Last Mile Second Wind If You Don't Like It Coming Home Night Songs Nothin' for Nothin' Once Around the Ride Hell on Wheels In From the Outside Back Home Again
*Most of the singles type tracks from Night Songs are just too worn out for me, save the title track. I had that Night Songs VHS, which contained NS, Shake Me, Nobody's Fool, Somebody Save Me and Push Push. I really wore those songs out watching that as a kid. On the opposite side, I tended to like the singles from LCW better than the deeper cuts, aside from "Don't Know What You Got".
**Still Climbin' doesn't really have any songs I'd include on my kick-ass Cinderella comp. It's okay, but nothing really jumps out at me or gets me going.

| I hear you on the singles from Night Songs getting a little worn but I still enjoy them. Still Climbing has some excellent cuts, I bet you just need to give it more listens. | |

They were a great concert - forgot who they opened for - I always thought Britny Fox was riding too close to their coat tails - I'm way more into Britny Fox than Cinderella. In my book, the first two BF records are benchmarks for the genre. The two bands were from the same area, so I assume BF kind of, I don't know, looked up to Cinderella or something?

The two bands were from the same area, so I assume BF kind of, I don't know, looked up to Cinderella or something? Both bands were from Philly and depending on who you talked to, Cinderella ripped off Britny or vice versa. They both bounced around the local club scene at the same time, sharing members and wardrobes. Cinderella lucked out and got noticed by Bon Jovi, who took them on tour and the rest is history. By the time Britny got noticed, Cinderella was already selling platinum, making Britny Fox look like a bunch of copy-cat followers, a tag they were unfairly stuck with. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. There is at least another solid album's worth of material from the early demos; it would be great if they were willing to properly record some of those like the one you mentioned. "Fear the Night" and "Cry No More" would be my choices--granted Tom's voice sounds quite different today than it did back then so some might be better suited to his current style than others.

| Jeff LaBar comments on why the band hasn't released a new album in two decades (and counting!)... - Blabbermouth wrote:
- In a recent interview with BigMusicGeek.com, CINDERELLA guitarist Jeff LaBar was asked if he thinks there will ever be an all-new studio album from the band.
"The last time we had a label behind us was back in 2000 and those are the demos that turned into Tom's [Keifer, guitar/vocals] solo record," he responded.
"I don't know. Record labels these days... I don't think anybody is signing.
"We could make a record ourselves and present it to a label, but it's probably not going to happen. We could do all kinds of records on our own.
"I would love to record as a band... as CINDERELLA again. I would imagine that some record labels would dig it and come try to sign us, but I just don't know. That's a very tough question. I don't know how that would work."
Regarding whether fans can expect to see CINDERELLA touring on a more frequent basis as the nostalgia for the '80s continues unabated. LaBar said: "The problem is when we tour, we are essentially a nostalgia act.
"In reality, it's the older people that love the old records that come out.
"I've seen REO SPEEDWAGON, JOURNEY and all of them in concert and it's always the older people that come out and want to hear the old hits. Unfortunately, we are kind of in the same boat, but at the same time, there are several bands from our genre, like POISON, RATT, WARRANT and WINGER, that still put out records. But how many people actually buy them? That's the problem. Who's actually going to buy them? That's the rub.
"We would absolutely love to put out a new record and get lumped in with all of the other '80s bands out there that still record and put out records that nobody really buys.
"I know it's terrible, but it's true, ain't it?" _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I know it's not easy these days, but for f*ck's sake!! If freakin' Autograph can land a record deal in 2015, surely Cinderella should be of interest to someone out there! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | He lists bands that are still putting out albums, so join them ya' jokers. Somehow they figure it out, call the boys from Tesla and ask how they do it. | |

Which one should I get? You might as well get all four studio albums (Night Songs, Long Cold Winter, Heartbreak Station and Still Climbing)...they're all quite good and can be had pretty cheap definitely get all 4 as they all are Cinderella but have different attitudes and one album does not do justice to the variety in the bands sound. I know it's been nearly three years, but I now have Long Cold Winter and Heartbreak Station. I still like Night Songs the best, but this is a really interesting band. Great gripping songs on both those two albums. I'd have loved to see them live too.

| If both Keifer and LaBar can release solo albums I can't understand why Cinderella the band can't release an album or even a deluxe version of the debut remastered with bonus demos and such. Btw, first concert I ever paid to see was them opening for Bon Jovi at the Providence Civic Center in 1986. Me and the Mrs. saw Keifer and his solo outfit at Mohegan Casino last summer for free and it was pretty darn good. | |
