No. They put out a limted-to-100 EP last year or so. It's called Vae Solis. Apparently the new full-length, Unholy War, is coming out through Tribunal, or maybe Century Media, on July 12th. Tribunal Is Century Media involved at all? The band posted this response on their Facebook page recently: "july 12th itunes amazon century media,or from the band....cheers to you both" I'd thought it was coming out through Tribunal, but when I saw that I wasn't sure. Especially considering it was in response to someone asking about a new album.

| Just got this e-mail from Tribunal: - Quote :
- FORTÉ was founded in Oklahoma City in 1987 and in those early stages they band played an abundant amount of shows quickly establishing themselves within the flourishing underground metal scene by opening for bands like Pantera, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Watchtower, Overkill, Savatage and Trouble. Signing to Germany’s Massacre Records the band released four critically acclaimed albums throughout the 90’s with their last, Rise Above, coming in 1999.
Now 12 years later FORTÉ has returned with a vengeance and their new album, Unholy War, will surely put them right back on top. Unholy War has everything fans have come to expect from the band: soaring vocals, razor sharp riffs and a battering ram for a rhythm section. Ten tracks of traditional U.S. thrashing power metal that will not disappoint the fans.

Yeah, that's a fantastic album. It's their most commonly found album, though $2 doesn't do it justice. =) Oddly, the first and third albums are the hardest to come by.

Oddly, the first and third albums are the hardest to come by. Yeah, it's odd since they are all on the same label. I picked up Division many years ago from overstock.com. I don't remember what I payed for it but definitely not much.

Oddly, the first and third albums are the hardest to come by. I noticed that as well. Picked up Rise Above first, then quickly searched and found Division online, while the remaing one's I found by chance at international sellers present at Sweden Rock Festival, on different occasions. Actually those were the only times I saw those.

Gonna have to dig up the albums again. I used to have 2 or 3 before I sold most everything off... _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| I have a question. Can you guys give me your "definition" or maybe your "qualifications" for the term "technical." I think I have an idea of what that means, but I'm honestly not sure.
Recently I have purchased Believer - Gabriel as well as Dimensions. I've seen some refer to them as "technical" thrash.
Is "technical" referencing the complexity of the mix or song? Or does it mean it has lots of "keyboards/digital effects?"
I hear "technical death metal" or "technical speed metal." I'd just like to be able to see that and then be able to associate that term with some type of meaning...without obviously listening to every one.

It's not terribly complicated in terms of arrangements, but there are lots of shreddy, "musiciany" passages tight starts/stops and a good amount of speed. "Technical Thrash" may be more suited to a band like Watchtower (who use a lot of odd time signatures, etc) but I thought it loosely fit here as well. It's along the lines of, say, Toxik, Relam and maybe Nosferatu-era Helstar.

This makes me think of old Tourniquet. Does that fit?

| Wow, first off, that song is awesome.
But, it reminds me of many early "thrash" songs from the late 80's to early 90's. I mean, the first two Deliverance albums, the songs are similar in structure, I even think of Bride - Live to Die. But I think I understand what you're saying. Tons of speed/tempo changes, lots of riffing and shredding by guitar and bass alike. I guess it's more of a loose term, than a genre?

| Awesome traditional metal band from Oklahoma City,OK....possibly the first band to blend Thrash and Power metal, put out a few albums on Massacre records out of Germany, played tons of live shows with many well known True Metal bands like Manowar,Pantera(before they hit big),Savatage,Flotsam&Jetsam,King Diamond,Dream Theater,Overkill,Exodus, and recently bands like Anthrax,Lizzy Borden and Blaze (ex Maiden). They have a totally un-trendy vibe still to this day, sending posers scrambiling towards the door while the real bangers stay up front. Easily one of the most underground but still active metal bands from the US. Stranger Than Fiction is a "slept on" power metal classic...

It looks like someone put in more than 5 minutes of effort. Kudos! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
