It's an oldie, but a goody. Shame it's only an ep.
Here's another one that tends to get forgotten, but it's an old favorite of mine: Guns n' Roses - The Spaghetti Incident
It introduced me to some bands that I wasn't familair with at the time, which is really what a good covers album should do.

Forgot Nativity In Black in the Various Artist list. Wish I could forget the second one.
Agreed on both counts. The first volume still gets fairly regular spins. Volume II was out of my CD player and on its way to the used-CD store after one play.

Ugh, that 2nd one was terrible. 2 or 3 good songs. Maybe. All I can remember was Busta Rhymes shouting "nigga this and nigga that" on 'Iron Man'. Boy, that's some tribute.

Fine. Here's another good one I like. Anyone ever hear this one?
Buncha "rockers" paying tribute to Rod Stewart. It's actually pretty good. The songs hold up well. It's a nice change of pace to hear them go out of the norm for artists to cover.

I like some Rod Stewart, especially the early years. Who's on that?

All I remember is singing the first lines, then waking up the next morning and going on tour. I asked the guys, 'did we finish the song?' and they said 'yeah, you did the whole thing.' And I was like, 'wow, I finished the whole song?"

I've got that one. I bought most of the "let's round up a bunch of hair band dudes" cover/tribute albums that were being cranked out about ten years ago. My curiosity always got the better of me.... "oooh! _____ singing _____ ! I've got to hear that! Oh man! I wonder if ______'s guitar solo is as good as ______'s on the original!"

Bill Ward has stated that he doesn't remember recording the Sabotage album (and I doubt the rest of the band were abstaining), which in the long run doesn't matter considering how awesome it turned out.

It's pretty much his older 70's material when he still rocked. A coupla Faces tunes, but mostly solo material. I found this track listing on Amazon (misspellings and all), but it's the Japanese release which may differ slightly from the version I have.
'Hot Legs' and 'Do You Think I'm Sexy' are 2 tunes that necessitate the skip button. They are horrible, techno, dance mixes. Everything else is pretty solid.
1. Dynamite - Spike/billy Duffy/Raven/Matt Sorum
2. Gasoline Alley - John Corabi/J.B. Crablick
3. (I Know) I'm Losing You - Stephen Pearcy/Warren DeMartini/Matt Thorne/Brian Burwell
4. Reason To Believe - Eddie Money/Don Krikpatrick/Trent Stoh/John Snider Jr./Bill Mason
5. Every Picture Tells A Story - Robin McAuley/Bart Walsh/Joe Lester/Steven Chamberlin/Michael Lord/Michelle Digby
6. You're In My Hear (The Final Acclaim) - Paul Sbortino/Carlos Cavazo/Sean McNabb/Audie Desbrow/J.T. Garrett
7. I Was Only Joking - Jami Lane/Rick Steler/Bruce Robinson/Bobby Berg/Jimmy Z/Debra Dobkins/Roberta Freeman...
8. Stay With Me - Spike/C.C. DeVille/Joey Allen/Chris Roy/Steve DeBoard/Howard Teman
9. Hot Legs - Orgy/Orpheus
10. Maggie May - John Corabi/Bruce Kulick/chaz Butcher/Brent Ftiz/curt Cuomo
11. Rock My Plimsoul - Jeff Pilson/C.C. Deville/James Kottak
12. The Killing Of Georgie - Gilby Blarke/Paul Soussan/Roberta Freeman/Teddy Andreadis/Eric Singer
13. Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? - I'M'L'
14. Let Me Love You - Eric Singer/Bob Dainsley/Doug Aldrich

Yup. There was a record company that I can't remember now that was cranking out these tribute albums left and right. It was allot of the same musicians & singers. I've got quite a few of them. Some of course are better than others. They're a fun listen every now & then.
EDIT: Cleopatra and Versailles Records put out a ton of these.

Yep, Cleopatra/Deadline cranked these out every other week. Sometimes they were godawful industrial remix versions. What the hell were they thinking?

I've had several of those Cleopatra/Deadline "tributes" in the past but ended up trading them all off except for one (a Def Leppard tribute whose title escapes me at the moment...). They were pretty bottom-of-the-barrel stuff.
I had an Iron Maiden tribute from them where Paul DiAnno performed four or five of the songs, I felt kinda bad for the guy. "Is this the only gig he can get nowadays, performing his own songs on low budget Maiden tributes?" haha. The rest of the vocalists were guys like Steve Grimmett, the dude from FM, etc., etc. -- the effect was kinda like "Hey, Paul DiAnnno is having a Maiden karaoke party at his house and he's inviting all of his unemployed friends over, let's record it and release it!" Ugh.

They were awful!! They NEVER sounded good and always stuck out like a sore thumb on those albums. Even if the rest of the album was 'meh', they were at least listenable. Then one of those remixes would come on. Ugh. They usually tried to sneak at least one on every album and they ALWAYS blew. Skipped them every time.

one of my favorite individual covers is The Upper Crust cover AC/DC - Back in Black.
the sound is a little low on this so you might need to adjust the volume.

That's the lone Deadline/Cleopatra tribute disc I hung onto. Steve Whiteman (Kix) does a nice job w/"Foolin'" on that disc.
...and Kory Clarke was clearly drunk as a skunk when he laid down his vox for "You Got Me Runnin'"

So it sounds like Kory's vocal stylings with Trouble?
