Don't get me wrong. I'm not slagging on Mr. Big. I'm not much of a fan, but they're certainly good at what they do.

As much as I like Paul Gilbert and all his other ventures, the Mr. Big stuff never appealed much to me. I had their debut and Lean Into It at one point, but they were ditched a long time ago.

I did not start buying Mr. Big albums until Hey Man (album #4)came out...now I have them all...killer band.

I almost have them all (the new one and all the others I could find in used stores-I LOVE used CD stores) and enjoy them, but again I love almost all MHR/AOR . That's why I love Frontiers, they seem to have an endless supply of my beloved genre.

I don't know jack-shite about video games these days since my Atari 5200 was sold at a flea market 20 years ago for $3 and a can of Diet Mr. Pibb. But the article supports my argument that Kickstarter works for gaming because it's giving people something they want. Unlike a new Vixen album that noone in their right mind was interested in.

I must seek it out then! I still prefer sugared drinks, but I had to give them up and zero is as close as it gets (I hate diet coke products).

After being a life-long Mountain Dew addict, I've been soda free for going on six years now. The worst was the first two weeks where I had beyond migraine headaches. I also didn't physically feel right for about a month after. Total withdraw symptoms. Caffeine really is a drug.

I felt the same about those two records and Mr Big in general until I got some of their later stuff. For me the later releases blow the earlier ones away.

Agreed, just drank one actually!

After another crown with another very possible root canal in the future, I won't be drinking much sugared sodas anymore. I did break my caffine habit a few years ago, but last year I got hooked again. I'm just too tired without caffine.

Just so I'm not accussed of adding to the distraction from the topic at hand. If it got relased, I'd listen to some samples and if I liked it, I'd buy it. Vixen wasn't the best MHR band but I enjoyed their music. However, I wouldn't contribute any money until I knew I was getting my money's worth.

They did 2 studio albums w/ Richie Kotzen and they are both very good. They're a little more Blues-based, not as "hot rodded" in the tones and execution, but still very good nonetheless, and Kotzen occasionally sang lead lines along w/ Martin which made for a nice dynamic (Kotzen is a very good singer).

Not a huge fan of Mountain Dew, but the retro tastes better than the regular. I wish all sodas would go back to real sugar instead of the HFCS crap they use here in the US.

I had a coupla cdrs of Kotzen's solo stuff that a buddy gave to me (the same guy that brought Gilbert to my attention), but it never really clicked with me. The only thing I have of Kotzen's is his blues tribute album, which is ok, but nothing outstanding as far as a white boy playing the blues goes.
