Mortification - Scribe of the Penateuch

Haha, the claw is GREAT! After seeing a lot of "artistic" and pretentious covers lately, this one is refreshing and genuinely humorous. When i first glanced at it, i got the same feeling i do when I'm siffting through endless crime drama's on the tv guide and stumble across an episode good ol' violent and pollitically incorrect looney tunes.

the artwork first represents God has have written the "Scribes" thus the gold quill.also you see the bats being zapped by lightning;evil can not stand against the power of God.lastly about the claw,this represents God;as the "Jaws of Life"."that pulls you from the wreckage" one of the songs on the cd! the artist is Elsy Stampek.a free lance cartoonist.she also did work for disney.those of you may have seen her work on the Wonrowe Vision"Mission Invincible cd"

Steve's ideas. I had nothing to do with it.

There is a song on the album called "Jaws of Life" that I think may be partially the reasoning. The robot claw will be featured on the inside of the album artwork as well.

glad to hear it,Kurt.i heard back from Steve and he said all was good.if i hadnt heard from you here;was going to hit you on facebook.i am asking yall to keep Steve in your prayers.lots going on w/this cd and Antidemon (who has been added to the Rowe Productions label) and heaps of other things.all which Steve has to do himself and i cant help! he doesnt handle stress well these days! i work great under presure! just ask Ult! lol!

Cool. I thought maybe since Lincoln is back in the band, he might have wanted to re-record them with him and the new drummer so it'll be an even sounding album rather than just tracks to fill in space since it was originally meant to be an EP.


BTW, the song titled Weapons of Mass Salvation made me laugh out loud. Steve still has that humorous side to him.

His sense of humor is pretty corny, which is one of the things I love about Morty.

Scott's layout is breathtaking! he hit a homerun on this one!! i cant hardly wait!! 3 more weeks!! and you guys are right;if anyone on facebook saw my status on tuesday;it was a made up word Steve used to describe my personality! the man's humour is off the wall! somedays i laugh thru tears during our conversations! oh what i wouldnt do for an hour w/both Scott and Steve in the same room!

true story,during the very early part of his music career;his wife Kate was still in college.he tells me that he happen to be home and tv blaring in the background..the Smurfs were on;he grabs his bass..and the song "The Destroyer Beholds" was born from the Smurf theme song! i told him that he ruined my thoughts of a great tune!! so,what does he do? he called me Sherri Smurfette!
