A friend was in the UK recent and brought back a bottle.... which a bunch of us were able to sample before the Sabbath show. Excellent brew!!!!!! Loved it - Bruce and the boys didn't let us down. Surprisingly lots of taste to it for its alcohol content (4.5 I think) Can't wait until it hits the shelves in the US (end of this month I believe!) I will be picking up a case!
From the pic, I can't read the actual name of it; what should I be looking for? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I bought some Trooper beers today. In glass: It's a refreshing, hoppy tasting pale ale. | |

| I like hoppy, and this is a very light and summery feeling ale. So I had another bottle with a bit of brie and poppy bread after supper. I could imagine packing one of these when going out to play golf or something.
It was hot and humid today, so stuff like this goes down well. I don't think I'll be stocking Trooper beers for winter though.

I had a 6pk of that last week. It's a solid black lager. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Major beer run today. I picked up a case each of Southern Tier's Pumking pumpkin ale, Southern Tier's Crème Brulee (the ultimate dessert beer) and a case of Stone Espresso Russian Imperial Stout. I also bought a bunch of bombers of Gouden Carolus Belgian Ale (my favorite Belgian), Dragon's Milk (ale aged in bourbon barrels), and some Oktoberfest beers. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I've heard that Dragon's Milk is good shit. But Creme Brulee? Really?? My brother-in-law is in town right now and bought everyone apricot ale. He seems to love fruit beer.

My brother-in-law is in town right now and bought everyone apricot ale. He seems to love fruit beer. Yeah, I generally hate fruit beer. The Crème Brulee is great but it IS really sweet. It's basically a stout brewed with vanilla beans. And at 9.5% ABV it's definitely a sipper for multiple reasons. EDIT: And Dragon's Milk is great, especially if you let it age. It gets mellower as it gets older. Fresh, the bourbon bite can be a little harsh. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I prefer that over Black and Tan. The nutiness of the Newcastle is enhanced by the stout. Very beckoning for repeat sips and fills. Damn. I'm thirsty now. And I have no beer.
