| My beer haul was this: and I'm trying a new Unibroue: Just like every Unibroue I've had, this one is a fine tasty beer. This is the first of these I've had that was less than 8% ABV so I'm not feeling it (after less than five hours of sleep this morning, a regular Unibroue would have my head spinning right now. | |

| I've never tried the Ephemere because I don't do fruit beers but I'm glad you enjoy it. They sure create cool labels for their beers. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Found a new Unibroue beer on sale when I went to the beer store today. I don't remember having it before although I think I've seen it: I'll let you know what I think DB. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I'll let you know what I think DB. I've seen that one too at a local beer/wine/spirit store, Specs.

Yeah, it is a bit fruity but with the robustness Unibroue is known for. I.e., unlike the Lemon Berry Shandy from last year it is a stronger beer and not at all watered down (I tried the LBS again and didn't much like it anymore-I've been spoiled by the Belgians). However, the other three Unibroue's I've had are better. This is more like Unibroue's version of a light beer. I prefer the fuller ones.

| Tonight it's another bottle of Stone Russian Imperial Stout - picked up another case yesterday while it's still available. I'm amazed how "cheap" this beer is for such a world class stout ($5.99 for a 22 oz bottle). _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Coincidently, my mom works for the company that makes their labels. Really? Give her my compliments; all my beer snob friends agree this brewery has the best labels. And more importantly from a marketing standpoint, they're starting to be recognized for it. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Had a Troegenator tonight. This is a doublebock beer brewed by Troeg brewery in PA that my friend at work brings back when he goes home to PA (my birthplace as well). | Throwing out some beers that no longer appeal to me (mostly Stella Atois and Bud Light Lime) and got to Left Hand Milk Stout. Decided to try it once more before getting rid of it and liked it a lot better. Maybe the Unibroues I've been drinking have made stronger beers more tolerable, or this milk stout is just better from the bottle than in a chalice. Either way I'm drinking it right now and will hold on to it a bit longer.

| I like that milk stout; first one I ever had. I wish you could taste Southern Tier's Choklat. I guarantee that would make you a stout fan. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I wish you could taste Southern Tier's Choklat. I guarantee that would make you a stout fan. Maybe one day I will be able to. Til then, this one is much more acceptable to my palate than previously and better than most other stouts I've tried (the exception being Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout).

| Yeah, that Samuel Smith Oatmeal is great. And I just looked it up. Southern Tier's Creme Brulee stout comes out next month. This is the very definition of a dessert beer. Tastes just like vanilla creme brulee. I still have 2 bottles from the case I bought last year. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I've come to the conclusion that Maudite is my favorite of the Unibroues. I started out liking Trois Pistoles the best but I like the more bready taste of Maudite better now. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Maudite is my favorite too. I just mix it up for variety.

| Drinking La Fin now gives me an idea of how to describe the difference between the three. Trois Pistoles has a stronger taste, while La Fin has a sweeter taste. Maudite is in between (not too strong, not too sweet) which is probably why I like it best. However, you're right that all three are great. Still can only handle one at a time though as they are strong enough to buzz me for an hour or two, which is why I don't have them more often. | |

| Decided to take a gamble on some beer in a variety pack. Mainly several New Belgium flavors. Abbey is a good beer, so how bad can the others be? BTW Toho, neither of them are IPAs. I still take your advice on those. | |
