| Last night was an IPA night. Got some burritos, some IPA's and painted my buddy's room who just moved into a new apartment.
Had 2 12 oz. Sneaky Pete Imperial IPA's
2 12 oz. Racer 5 IPA's
1 24 oz. Old World IPA
1 24 oz. Stone Cali-Belgique IPA

| Had an exceedingly sh*tty day yesterday (those of you who know me on Facebook know what's goin on; those of you that don't, we had a medical emergency in the family) so in the evening once the kids were in bed and things had settled down, I was most grateful to have a 12 pack of Leinenkugel Oktoberfest in the fridge. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I'm the one who needs somebody to drink with.
BTW, several weeks back I bought the Sam Adams Fall Variety pack and that had 2 Latitude 40 IPAs in it. I managed to choke them down but it was a struggle; damn things tasted like tonic water to me. Just got back from Oktoberfest at Alpine Village. Didn't see any IPA's, although this year they had about 6 different beers versus the lousy 2 from last year (one of them being Bud Light, yuck). The place seems more to be about entertainment than beers anyway. This all just reminds me that I have to get back to BevMo's and stock up on my brews asap because my fridge is on empty.

| Bought a case of this yesterday at my favorite beer store because it's a seasonal and is just about gone. This is the very definition of a "dessert beer"; very sweet with strong vanilla and caramel flavors. 10.0 ABV too; definitely not a "session beer". _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Considering it's mass produced crap, Blue Moon's Harvest Pumpkin ale isn't half bad. Of course, I'm not a big pumpkin ale person, so....... | |

| Ugh! I picked up that Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin last year without realizing it was a stealth product of Miller/Coors. I took one taste and thought, "this tastes like Coors". That's when I checked the packaging. I tried to finish the 6 pack but ended up pouring 3 down the drain. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Southampton Pumpkin Ale is done for the season I am going to get some Dog Fish Head instead and maybe try Smuttynose too. So far this year the Post Road is the best but I am told the Dog Fish Head is pretty tasty. _________________ | |

I saw this in my local store but I have not heard great thing about it. so i bought a 6 pack and its pretty comparable to Schlafly's - a little heavy on the spice. I also got some Smuttynose and Sam Adams pumpkin ales to try out during the hurricane. _________________

| The Sam Adams is OK but nothing special IMO. This year I've been very disappointed in all the pumpkin beers I've tried. Hopefully the "Holiday Ales" don't follow the same trend. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I dont have a baseline like you do but so far the Terrapin is my favorite. The pumpkin ale's seem like their run is almost over - not too much left anymore to choose from. _________________

the Smuttynose is also a tad heavy on the cinnamon, although not to point that Schlafly's was. _________________
