Beer!

My godfather has started brewing so I had one of each of his IPA's and stouts the other day..they were alright. The stout was super sour though..blech.

Had this local IPA the other night.

IPA's are totally off the Toho acceptable beer list. I have yet to meet an IPA that I liked. I know lots of beer snobs that love them though; just not my cup o tea.

one of developers took it upon himself to not do my story correctly which is a regulatory requirement and even after i checked it out in qa and told him it wasnt right he still moved it to production so now all of the disclosures are wrong and my desk had more people at it than michael jackson's funeral. Yes, I told them, I like making mistakes that cost the co zillions of dollars. Of course I told him it was wrong!!

That's pretty sh*tty, but my day had a doctor's visit and a dead guy. I think I still win.

By the way I'm on Yuengling bottle #7 out of 12. Mmmmm, tasty.

Not usually my thing either but the Ninkasi was pretty tasty.

Oh, I did get one bomber of Left Hand's TNT Double Bock and one of New Holland's Night Tripper Imperial Stout. All Belgian tripel, grand cru or abbey ales other than that though including 3 more gift sets from various Belgian breweries. I now have 4 Belgian Ale glasses (the look like oversized brandy snifters).

its a yuengling tonight after another midnight release...

I'm stocking up for my post-oncall week after next week. Man, I hate being oncall and carrying that damn Iphone around!

I'm drinking another bottle of North Coast Brewing's Grand Cru Ale. Went back to Friar Tuck and picked up 2 more bottles of this today to cellar. I left one on the shelf for my beer snob buddy at work. I don't know if they have any more in the back or not but at just under 13% ABV, this stuff should age nicely (provided I can keep my mitts off it for a year).

So I wouldn't be a good TEXAN if I didn't point out what we drink...

OK, but is it any good?

I've tried several beers from Shiner, which was supposed to be the cream of Texas breweries, and while they weren't awful, they didn't do much for me either.
