Hahaha... I do own some but its just like one of those things where I'd just rather be there and if i'm not i'd rather just listen to it on a cd in my car or ipod, whatever. If I'm home I'm usually either on the computer or doing something around the house so if I do put a dvd on its usually just for background noise and I will come and check it out from time to time but to really sit and watch a whole thing to me is boring.

As much as I love concert films, it's alway a chore to find enough time to watch them. For a while I was putting them on my ipod then my ipad to view at the gym. Eventually I just decided it was easier just to have the music playing. Left with a choice I'm more likely to go with the CD version. Even if my first instinct is "I would love to see that". Hence the complete indecision I have in picking up Rush Time Machine : Live In Cleveland.

I rarely watch music DVDs as well. I just don't have the time these days. Plus, most of them are lame now, especially the live ones that are so produced there is absolutely no feeling that it's truly live.

me too. The nice thing about music is you can listen while you other things.

I was into watching concert DVDs while I was on my eliptical until the latest trend of trying to cram 60 camera angles into every minute of footage. No lie, I almost fell off while watching the last Nightwish and PC69 discs; the constantly changing camera angles gave me vertigo.

The DVDs generally sound better than the CD versions, so I'll just buy those, if I feel like watching it I will, if not I just listen to it. It's a win/win.

Not all concert films are over-produced, there are still very good ones to be found.

Yep, almost a third of my DVD collection is just music DVDs. There were a couple of albums that I bought over just to have the bonus DVDs, in fact.
