Agreed. I've never been disappointed by them.

yea I just finished listening to it and it sounds great. I put the original on to compare and you can hear it. everything sounds brighter.

Yeah, I don't feel like buying albums I already have, even if they sound better. Just like with Blue Ray vs. DVD, if I don't know what I'm missing, I'm not missing anything.

I don't have the 2003 remaster to compare it to. I did compare .wav forms from tracks included on the "Stand Up And Shout" collection disc and the new Holy Diver is much less compressed by comparison, keeping the original dynamic range of the LP release.

Even without another source to compare it to, it's an AMAZING sounding remaster, I've had Holy Diver in one form or another since the 80s and I gotta say there are details on this new remaster that I've never heard before. The detail and depth cannot be overstated, it's like being in the room with the band playing.

Pretty much all the reviews are raves across the board, I wouldn't pass up the chance to get it.
