Yeah, it was real cheap. Couldn't pass it up. Great album and movie.

It's funny, though. I was sitting there wondering, What ever happened to the dude who played Eddie? I come home, decide to watch a movie, pick The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix, and guess who's in the frickin' movie?

How weird is that? Haha.

I had not heard it in probably close to 10 years...some songs are good...some sound "lost"...and some are just experimental meanderings that should have stayed on the shelf.

I think that's what I remember most about that album.

I liked the single 'Without You'. I'm not a big Extreme fan, but I was willing to give Gary a chance. Then we got a promo copy of the album at work and I just went "Huh? What the hell is this? Why is Eddie singing?" That was the last time I've heard it and don't plan on rectifying that anytime soon.

But these:

Ballot Or The Bullet
(and especially) How Many Say I

...those were just "meh" to bad.

I never heard it, don't plan on changing that. But then I HATED Extreme, so there is no reason for me to punish myself with more Cherone...who I wanted to punch whenever I heard an Extreme song.

I'm with MG on the "VHIII." I had liked Extreme so I was willing to give Van Cherone a chance. Bought that album, listened to it once or twice, and ditched it as quickly as possible. Pee-yew.

After that album crashed & burned I kinda felt bad for Gary Cherone though. I had met him at an Extreme gig some years prior and he was a very nice guy, when I heard he'd gotten the VH gig I was happy for him cuz he'd been cool to my friend and I.

...but then, anytime an established band puts out a record w/a new singer and it tanks, the "new ingredient" immediately gets the blame, never the rest of the band. It happened to John Corabi, it happened to Ripper Owens, to Blaze Bayley, and it happened to Gary.

Which is a shame because, as I said somewhere else, the tour with him did well and the crowd took to him. I don't think a VH album w/ Sammy at that point would have done any better than Gold...which is just over what "3" sold...

I agree with this list except I sort of like 'Dirty Water Dog' , I bought the album as a new release and I was very disappointed, I sort of like the album now, at the time it was released I completely loathed it
