I have not listened to a Kool and Gang album in ages, seeing that Van Halen choose them (actually one member choose them) as their opening act for the show that is coming to Tampa, I took a chance a put my money down, and I have to say I loved it, the band is as tight as fish's bunhole, funky basslines, as you stated pure awesomeness, and very different from Kool and The Gang I remember with tunes like 'Ladies Night' and ' Celebration'.
