Heard that tune on sattelite radio the other night. Sounds good to me. Surprised to see Kenny behind the kit already.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers new albums is released today, maybe that is why Kenny is already doing all the promo work.

I was confused. Thought Satriani was on drums, too.

I'm a huge fanboy of Hagar and Satch but Big Foot didn't impress me at first and after a few listens it's still just ok to me.

Yes, I also was hoping to be blown away, but it takes a song or two at first before I start enjoying Chickenfoot.
Glad they are doing something different, but wish the material was faster and more straight ahead.

Well, it's definitely not mind-blowing. Just good ol' rock and roll.

I thought the first album was OK but sort of blah.

I really dig this song though. Yeah, it's not terribly original but like Eyesore says, the riff is a real earworm.

Yea, that's how I feel about that song and the first album. Nothing mind-blowing, just good rock n' roll. I don't know that it will be a day-of-release buy for me, but I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point.



I'm not sure what it is exactly that appeals to me, but I like hearing Joe Satriani as just a player in a band, not just shredding all over the place (which I like too, in moderation).

That's a red flag because I know you liked the first one more than I did. I liked the first one except for just a few songs, it was a good solid 7/10 for me, hardly a waste of money. I'll pick up the new one soon but I'll make sure it's on the cheap somewhere.

I heard the new album and I actually like a slower song called 'Come Closer' and 'Different Devil' the best. If ya can't wait you can also sample 90 second clips at iTunes. As much as I love the first one the musicianship is a lot better on III, Sammy is in fine form but the lyrics are a little meh at times.

SAHB Healer the new Chickenfoot is a lot better overall and I think you'll agree. The album has 11 songs and all of them are good, even 'Big Foot' grew on me. Faves are 'Different Devil', 'Come Closer', 'No Change', hell they are all good! A very solid album. 'Lighten Up' has Joe doing his best Jon Lord impression on the guitar...

I like "Bigfoot"...looking forward to getting III when it comes out...

Heard the song Something Going Wrong and it sounded really good.

Still can't seem to get into the first album. It's just sort of mundane IMO. People seem to love it, so I must be missing something.

Got the Classic Rock Fan Pack version of this album in the mail today. Liking this one MUCH better than the first album. I never could get into that one either, even the best songs were really only above average, IMO. Some really cool stuff is on this one.
