Sounds like they've stepped-up their game a bit here. They've been more of a slower, doomier type before. Must've gotten some better drugs.
There was a lot of upbeat material on their first couple albums, you sure you're remembering the same band?

I dunno. Guess I'll need to re-visit those albums and see for myself.

I mean, this track for instance doesn't sound that different from Wolfmother...it's definitely not remotely related to doom.

I listened to the Kadavar track, sounds a lot like the earlier Witchcraft albums.

That is one bitchin' cover. Reminds me of the old retro sci-fi cover The Sword used on Warp Riders. When's that coming out?

Vintage Trouble has a new one coming out Aug. 21st...
I enjoyed their first album and will probably pick this one up too at some point. Might be a little "too" retro for some folks here though. Think more 60's blues & soul than 70's rock.

Vintage Trouble have been supporting AC/DC all across Europe which is an odd but good pairing! Good band.

The Vintage Caravan were HoM favs a couple of years ago, I always though that they had a lot of potential but were still very young, I really really like this though.

I really liked Vintage Caravan's first one and this is on my list to pick up. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

As soon as the vocals kicked in on The Vintage Caravan my hand raced for the stop button.

If you hate the Vintage Caravan vocals try the awful Dracula impression on this!!
Great song though, I really like this band.

I think part of it is I've just lost interest in this scene for the most part. There are a handful of bands I really like and there's nothing really wrong with the rest but I don't listen to this stuff enough to justify buying very many.

Eh, they're just kids. Give 'em a few more years till his balls drop and he matures a bit.

On another retro note...Los Angeles based band "Rival Sons" just nabbed the opening slot on the upcoming Black Sabbath tour.

They aren't too bad, not something I would listen to all the time and if I see Sabbath I won't be standing in the beer line when they play.
