Did she pass along the issue yet where they crowned J-Lo the "Most Beautiful Person" for 2011? Homina homina, the photos in that one were... (speechless). She's so friggin' hot.

She did, although I'm not a big J-Lo fan. Pretty gal, but she annoys me. I think she gets more attention than she deserves and that bothers me. That bothers me about allot of Hollywood folks actually. Or just people in general. That's it. I'm just annoyed by most people. Steven Tyler solo album... - Page 2 499945

Interesting tidbits from Mr Tyler:

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been in and out of rehab countless times, but don't expect him to appear on "Celebrity Rehab," the reality TV show about the addiction battles of the vaguely rich and famous, reports Dean Goodman of Reuters.

In his new book, "Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?," Tyler rips both the VH1 show and its host, addiction-medicine specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky, who formerly worked at one of the hospitals where he sought treatment.

Tyler recounted that he was at the Los Angeles-area hospital, Las Encinas in 2008, at the same time as Steven Adler, the former Guns 'N Roses drummer. Adler, who was kicked out of the band in 1990 because his behavior was too wild even by the standards of his colleagues, was told to fake his drug stupor for the "Celebrity Rehab" cameras, Tyler alleged.

"They wanted him to act out his own messed-up state when he entered rehab. It was ghoulish and unreal. They gave him 30 grand for the episode, he snorted it all, crashed his car, and he ended up in jail detox," Tyler wrote.

"It didn't seem to me all that ethical using actual f---ed-up people like Steven Adler in a reality show, but who am I to say? Not to mention getting trashed celebrities to mime their own self-destructive nosedives which they then sensationalize on a melo-fing-dramatic reality show, which so traumatizes them they end up in worse shape than ever -- from the drugs they bought with the money from the show."

A spokeswoman for Pinsky declined comment, suggesting that queries be directed to Tyler himself. E-mails to spokesmen for VH1 and Adler were not immediately answered.

Tyler went on to describe the addiction theories of Pinsky, a board-certified physician, as "psychopharmalogical dogma."

"It's interesting that Dr. Pinsky never came up to me, never made any advances," Tyler wrote. "He certainly didn't ask me to be on his celebrity rehab (sic) because -- at best -- I would have gone, "Are you f---ing kidding me?"

Pinsky, a bestselling author who rose to fame as co-host of the syndicated radio call-in show "Loveline," is no longer associated with Las Encinas, the object of a series of complaints about care at the facility.

Pinsky comes off relatively lightly compared to others in Tyler's book, particularly his own bandmates. Tyler describes them as "pricks" -- hypocritical, henpecked husbands, some of whom have lingering drug problems.

Because you're at the top of your game now, Steven. Maybe in 5 years when AI is done, you've finally burned all your bridges with the band and you're on the skids again, you'll get the call.

Celebrity Rehab doesn't skim the cream off the top. They scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Bump for new info...

Quote :
AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler has revealed to RollingStone.com that he will begin work on his debut solo album in early 2014.

"Joe [Perry, AEROSMITH guitarist] has done, like, four solo albums," Steven said. "I never have, though with lyrics and arrangements and so forth a lot of AEROSMITH albums are just fine for me. It's cathartic. But I had a lot of fun doing '(It) Feels So Good'. I wrote that with Marti Frederiksen.

"I've got this itch in me to do a solo record, and that's what I'm gonna do next. I've got some great people that want to get involved in it.

"It's early on right now, but that's the itch I got. I got that itch to do something that's a lot different than AEROSMITH. AEROSMITH's never been better, but we did that album. This last album was an AEROSMITH all-for-one-and-one-for-all. But my heart is in stuff like that weirder, off-the-cuff stuff that I'm not sure AEROSMITH would like.

"I'm into electronica — I was when I used to listen to Stockhausen in '65. So there's just a lot of stuff — good, weird f*cking music that I want to get off my chest. The band will be playing, and we're going to China and Singapore. It's gonna open up a whole new world for AEROSMITH. So AEROSMITH will always be around, but I got this itch and I know how to scratch it."

Asked whom he is looking to work with on the solo record, Tyler said: "There's so much good stuff out there. I am a huge Skrillex fan. I went to lunch with Deadmau5 at Mel's Diner. He's got incredible ideas for his next tour — blew me away, what he's gonna do. He's a single guy. He makes all the money himself when he puts the mouse head on, so he's got a ton of money. He knows where to take it, and he's still relevant. So it was a sick dinner, it was f*cking unreal. I want to go out and explore things . . . I really want to take a little risk here and do something solo. There's no timeline — I'm gonna start in January and see where we get by March."

Deadmau5? Skrillex? Um, yeaaaaaa. I'm gonna have to say "No thank you" on this one.

Ick! Who's he think he is, Brett Michaels? Or worse yet, Ron Keel!! Razz

Quote :
According to Billboard.com, AEROSMITH's Steven Tyler is working on a country album for the Nashville-based Big Machine Label Group. A tentative late 2015 or early 2016 release is expected.

The singer has not yet signed with the company, but is expected to ink the deal "before the summer," according to an "insider" cited by Billboard.com.

Tyler has spent the past couple of months in Nashville collaborating with songwriters, including Brett James, who co-wrote Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova" and "Jesus Take the Wheel", as well as Martina McBride's "Blessed"; CADILLAC THREE's Jaren Johnston, who co-wrote current hits as Keith Urban and Eric Church's "Raise 'Em Up" and Tim McGraw's recent No. 2 hit, "Meanwhile Back at Mama's".

Tyler revealed his interest in recording a country album last October during a video question-and-answer session with Twitter Music at Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco.

"I'm going down to Nashville [in] January, February, March, April to write and see what we get," he said at the time. Tyler added: "I grew up with the EVERLY BROTHERS. So even 'Cryin'''s got a little [sings with an exaggerated twang] 'There was a time when I was brokenhearted.' It started like that — of course I had to do it AEROSMITH-ish, which was more rocked out — but there's a piece of me that just loves country so much. And I'm not sure what kind of country that is, but it's got the fifth harmony, and anyone who knows who the EVERLY BROTHERS is — it's those kinds of melodies that are just so, so good."

This is almost guaranteed to sound better than either Bret or Ron's country material. But still, I expected more of a pop rock album in the vein of the Just Push Play era of Aerosmith.

I suppose, given Steven's pattern of announcing a solo record and then not delivering, there's a decent chance this will never see the light of day anyway...

I am sure it will be way better then anything Bret Michaels and Ron Keel will have ever done in the country genre, of course that is faint praise if you have had the displeasure of hearing their solo material

Indeed, I'm tempted to say that Bret's country demo is better than his solo albums.

Quote :
AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler has officially signed to Big Machine Label Group. He will release his first album later this year on BMLG's Dot Records imprint.

Headed by Scott Borchetta, the label group consists of Big Machine Records, the Valory Music Co., Republic Nashville, Nash Icon and Dot.

"There was an immediate connection with Scott and Big Machine, and Nashville seems like the perfect segue for a solo project … and Dot Records is the right fit," Tyler said in a statement.

"My earliest influences put me somewhere between the EVERLY BROTHERS and the CARTER FAMILY, and this project is all about me paying homage to my country roots.

"I've been working with some f**ing epic Nashville songwriters, getting my feet wet with their style and groove."

I will check it out and hey if a man wants to make a Nashville pop country album, more power to him.

In the end it is going to sound like left over Aerosmith tracks that were rejected with a country twang. Modern Country is nothing more then pop music anyways.

Big Machine is probably the hottest country label right now so they attract all the top songwriters. Scott Borchetta is the guy who made Taylor Swift a star. This all means that this album will get a huge push. blech

This is about as much "country twang" in an Aerosmith song I can stomach.

Listen to Tyler's first single 'Love Is Your Name'

It's not terrible, I guess. It's sounds like every other modern country song on the radio, which I suppose that's what he was going for.

Even as someone who likes a fair amount of pop music, including this country-pop style, I find this song to be just mediocre. Steven's voice sounds great as usual, but the songwriting is unimpressive.
