Loving this album at the moment! I got my music box version and it's creepy as hell (It plays a music box version of the intro to suspiria while a blood stained ballerina spins round! )
Obviously done a touch faster - darker - It was interesting when the song came on - I knew Warlord about six months before October 31st. at the 2:12 mark - drummer REALLY kicks it up

Grabbed this album from FYE last week. They had an exclusive version with three bonus tracks. This is one of them.
So good!

Who are they covering? I don't believe I know this song.
And yea, sounds good. I still need to get this album.

I believe that is a OneRepublic tune.

Yeah, might be them. It's a pop song. Might be a great pop song, sure, but I can't listen to that crap. Haha.

Not sure that I'd consider this a "killer" cover, but since I don't think there are many Hellyeah fans 'round here, I'll post it. It's a cover of the Phil Collins song 'I Don't Care Anymore'.
What makes it unique is that it features previously unearthed Dimebag Darrell guitar-work. I guess it's the first time the Abbott brothers have appeared on a track since his death.
Enjoy.

Heard that earlier. I dig Hellyeah (shocker). Not amazing, but enjoyable for that style. This is a pretty cool cover. Sounds like that guitar work might have been a demo, though, or something like it.
Whatever, though. Still pretty cool that bands are able to do this sort of thing these days.

Dean Wells of Teramaze covers "always within me" by Winger.

This is a bit too faithful but it's nice to see that Rosalie is still interested in making music after the break up of Purson. I saw Sam's (Purson keyboard player) Facebook profile the other day and the long rock star locks are gone and he looks like he's about to enter the exciting world of accountancy!
The last Purson album was pretty much a Rosie solo record so maybe it's not as big a deal as I feared.

I'm pretty much of the opinion that GWAR was Dave Brockie but this version of The Pet Shop Boys 'West End Girls'/Jim Caroll's 'People Who Died' is a truly killer cover!
Nope! Gwar is awesome. Great fun to watch, and not bad musicianship. I probably won't get into anything of theirs past Brokies passing away, but I love me some Gwar.
Anywho, this has probably been posted already, but I'm too last to look. Hell for all I know I posted it myself lol this is one of my favorite cover tunes ever. I love what they did with this song;
Type O Negative, Black Sabbath off the nativity in black 1 compilation CD.
Anthrax just released this cover of 'Carry on My Wayward Son'. Killer? Eh, maybe not. It's not all that drastically different from the original. I will say though what makes it stand out is Joey's vocals. He sounds great.
It's a bonus track on a vinyl box set coming out... http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/listen-to-anthrax-cover-version-of-kansas-classic-carry-on-wayward-son/
