| From buybacks. Have wanted that Eerie Von disc for awhile. No idea why they had it in the dollar rack. But I'll take it for that price. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] From the local yokel thrift store. [img] [/img] | |

| Not a dollar but compared to most asking prices, $2.99 is pretty equivalent: About a year ago I got Play God for under $5 as well. | |

| I got my Reverend discs real cheap too. This was after many ebay auction losses. Found them in the dump bin at Hastings. Love those lucky finds. Great albums too. | |

| I bought that Reverend CD when it was a new release years ago; didn't think much of it so it was traded off to the used store sometime in the late 90s... now of course I kick myself when I see what it goes for online Wish I could find their debut EP, which is their best work in my book!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Looking at amazon it's amazing what those disc still command. Always thought they'd be ripe for a classic re-issue.
I have this fantasy about coming across a dollar bin that has not only Reverend's EP but also the Ratt one as well. Any day now I'm sure.
I will admit the amazon download does tempt me in the meantime. Must resist giving in.

I have the Ratt EP on CD... Best part is that I got it for nothin' a few years ago. A co-worker brought in a big bag of her ex boyfriend's CDs that he'd left behind at her place when they broke up, and let me pick thru 'em. I scored quite a few goodies that day. I'll probably never get that lucky again. At the time I had no idea that Ratt EP was such a high priced collectible, I damn near choked when I found out later how much it goes for online. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| And unlike a lot of stuff - it actually sells for those prices. Twice I've bought it online for a decent price only for them to send me Ratt's greatest hits instead. Damn you Secondspin. I now consider it a challenge to find it for dirt cheap.

| Just did a blind buy of several discs on ebay where my limit (with shipping) was $3 each, $15 total, and some I got for a buck. Mostly metalcore releases (I may post them when I feel less lazy to cull the names), but I did get Sepultura's Against and Single Bullet Theory. Not amazing stuff by any stretch but good for passing time.
Here at Rasputin there's a massive .50 and $1 bin, but I have had zero luck fishing through there for anything in this genre. Well, I did find Jackyl and Brother Cane, so I shouldn't say zero. It's just that you'd think that several bins that take an entire HOUR to fish through (and that's high velocity flipping) you'd find a bit more.
I really miss Warehouse. Kreator's Extreme Aggression for 3 bucks. Good days.

Saw that at my local goodwill today also, too bad I already owned it. One of the best Scorps albums in my opinion.

The CD selections are more than pathetic. As for pawn shops, there are lots of the around but almost none carry CDs. The only places that have clearance sections with CDs under $3 around here have been picked clean by me.

| Just about the time I'm reading to give up on Goodwill is when I usually find some decent things. The problem with my local Goodwill is they charge two bucks for cds - at a buck I'd be more tempted. Pawn shops around here are useless for cds. Not that many years back they had a killer selection too. From the dollar racks at Rockaway. This older dude was also scouring the racks and both of us had a laugh about wondering if the other was picking off stuff we wanted. Thankfully there seemed to be little crossover in our buying. Some cool finds, and I kind of regret only giving the racks a passing glance on past visits. [img] [/img][img] [/img][img] [/img][img] [/img] | |

| Thinking you may have paid a bit too much for the Mayhem album, good score on the Living Sacrifice and UKJ. Both are great albums. | |

| I actually was going to put the Mayhem back and leave it for a "fan". But forgot to take it out of the basket. So home it came. From Zia Records for 50 cents each. [img] [/img] From Hastings Nice to score a non-remaster of Too Fast For Love and that Cramps single was a nice find too. [img] [/img] | |
