Queensryche vs Lizzy Borden vs Crimson Glory

I find there are some common elements which tie all three bands together. For one, they each released concept albums (or at least loosely based concept album) but I also find the vocals somewhat similar, the guitar work at times can also be similar between the bands. There is an identifiable element that makes these three bands sounding uniquely late 80s American metal.

Queensryche - although I really like CG, QR has a better overall catalog.

I like all 3 as well...but its obvious that both LB and CG were influenced by Queensryche...

Yea what exact said. The first 2 albums by CG are better than anything Queensryche have released since promised land. But with Queensryche having way more albums that were great and influential to so many people I think it would have to go to them.

I like Lizzy Borden a lot, their last album was awesome, but a lot of their older stuff is hit and miss.

Voted Crimson solely based on their first 3 albums, never got into Queensryche at all, have the CDs but I just can't fall for them, Lizzy are legends though and have provided some stellar albums over the years but Crimson were my first love from them 3 bands.

Queensryche for me, Geoff Tate's vocals are near perfect and the songwriting and production are very good overall.

LIZZY BORDEN is the best of all. They never released a bad album. QUEENSRYCHE released many sh.it records and CRIMSON GLORY have only two very good albums, the other two are not very very good. LIZZY BORDEN kill.s those two bands, on stage and of stage.

I went with Queensryche but could just have easily picked Crimson Glory.

Interesting poll. Never woulda lumped those 3 groups together, but they do kinda have a similiar vibe.

A few years ago, it woulda been Queensryche, but these days, it's Lizzy. His last 2 albums have been spectacular. I haven't heard enough Crimson Glory to give a formal opinion.

Overall career, LIZZY BORDEN.

However, I probably like those first three Queensryche albums as much as anything from any of these bands.

I went with Queensryche those first 3 records were flat out awesome, The Warning is still one of my favorite albums. LB's too hit and miss to even be a contender for me, and I haven't heard any Crimson Glory in a few years.

Was close to picking Queensryche just on the 83' to 87' output, then I remembered how much better Lizzy Borden was onstage those same years. So I picked Lizzy.

Always been a big Lizzy Borden fan so they get my vote but Crimson Glory's first two albums are excellent.I'm only a casual fan of Queensryches earlier works.

Queensrÿche, because of their 80s albums.

Queensryche. Just for their debut EP gets my vote alone.
