| Looks like TSO are giving away a new version of "Dream Child," for free! Sweet.
You can download it HERE.
In related news, I just watched some videos of Jeff Scott Soto singing with them. Hands down, that dude is one of the best rock/metal vocalists ever.

| That would be grand if you did, mate.
TSO are doing their first UK tour ever next year and I have yet to buy tickets. I should really rectify that, I love the band. _________________

I completely agree about Jeff Scott Soto, that guy can freakin' SING. I think the cover of Love is Like Oxygen on Audiovision's The Calling is one of the best covers ever and JSS and Christian Liljegren do an awesome job on that vocal line.

JSS is indeed a great singer. Not only can he sing the deep dramatic stuff (TSO) but he can also do the high screaming stuff (Axel Rudi Pell). He's also a pretty cool guy if you ever meet him.

I saw them this past summer when they did their Beethoven tour. Great live show with lights, lasers, and pyro. Not to mention the passionate singing and great music virtuosity.

Go, dude. I saw them last year and it was amazing! They did two sets. The first was a Christmas set, and the second was all metal! The first set had a crazy light show, taking it way back to the 80s. Then the second set had crazy frickin' pyro, lights, all kinds of stuff. Waaaaay over the top, you know, but in a totally good way. I don't know what kind of stuff they'd be doing in March, though. I'd assume it'd be toned down a bit, you know, since their Christmas stuff is more popular.

My wife took me two weekends ago. It was my first time. It was awesome, an incredible show. Great voices and wild guitarwork. Jeff Scott Soto was there, it was awesome. Other than Wizards in Winter I really had no idea about what to expect, and it blew me away. 3 hours of rock, the first hour and a half their Christmas special and then another hour and a half of rock. I can't wait to go again, and I'm making it a tradition. I'm still rocking out to it in my truck as I drive around. As a side note, my wife and I waited around to meet the group. They're pretty cool, and really nice signing autographs and everything. Chris Caffery had a concussion, so he personally walked down the line and took pictures and signed stuff, just hung out with everyone so he could go back and rest. Really good people. This is my first time on the forums, I've been searching for the new Dream Child 2010 version, but Amazon doesn't offer it for download anymore. What sucks is the night of the concert Chris Caffery announces the free download, but as soon as I get home Amazon tells me it's not available. They won't even let me buy it. Eyesore, is there any chance you can upload it so I can download it too? It would be awesome. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.

| Eyesore, I surely appreciate it. That's a nice thing to do for someone who's new to your boards, and thanks again.
I'm still rocking out to the Lost Christmas Eve in the truck. If you haven't seen them, TSO is a fantastic show. I'd love to buy some of their concert songs, but I guess they don't offer them. Hearing this song in full Rock mode is awesome.

| So they are much heavier live than on CD? I know a lot of bands are that way, but with TSO it would be particularly welcome to my ears. I have a hard time listening to their albums all the way through because a LOT of the songs are just way too soft. Lots of soft singing and piano and stuff. I realize there is a story being told with each album, so each song is related to the previous and next one, and not every song should be heavy, but still. Too many soft ones for me. I don't have Night Castle yet because I'm afraid it will be like that. A couple of the male singers sound kind of cheesy, too, like a regular Joe Schmoe singing operatic in his car, or something.
All of that said, I actually do enjoy their music, for the most part, and always play it around this time of year.
