| Plenty of YES fans on this board, the search engine for some reason comes up empty when you try to find our old threads | |

| Favorites: Tales from Topographic Oceans Close to the Edge Relayer Going For The One and I enjoy 90125 and Fragile as well.. 'Tales', to defend this album, is something in rock music which just demanded a full on EXPERIENCE. Yes had hinted at it with CTTE but all the ideas were just allowed to get in full bloom on the album afterward. It goes beyond some boundaries into other worlds just like on the cover art. This is the type of thing where if you just want to be swallowed in incredible music for an hour and a half, and take a journey, it's perfect. I think everyone has a use for something like that, really. And 'Tales' works well and has amazing songwriting for what it is. 'The Remembering' is probably my favorite but I love everything on it. 'Relayer', to defend this, contains one of the definitive Yes epics in 'The Gates of Delirium', then one of their most progressive and exciting pieces in 'Soundchaser', aptly showing off that Patrick Moraz could indeed bring something exciting to the fold to compare with Wakeman, and then 'To Be Over' is just such a great Yes-style ballad. Ok, I'm done. Hey 325AD what happened to the review and the uh other stuff, for the demo, btw... Never heard back from you.. Am I that forgettable.. Twas months ago, yes.. | |

| '90125' was the first YES I ever heard thanks to MTV and loved it and still love it, thanks to that album I went back and researched and explored their back catalog. | |

| 90125 has some really interesting stuff musically, some very good songs, and then it also has some complete crap..'Leave It'..'Our Song'..ughmughhugh. Also I wish 'Cinema' was longer by about 10 minutes, that would have been a nice closer to the album as well. | |

| I like the 1970s output quite a bit. Not too familiar with their later stuff though. | |
