I don't own any RIOT material. What's your suggestions ?

I only own Thundersteel. Not sure how it compares, but it's really good and in the Painkiller style.

Man i am a huge Riot fan.

I would recommend them all to be honest.

The Riot V material with Todd Michael Hall is amazing as well.

You can't go wrong with any Riot. I own them all (except for the Riot V stuff) and it's all solid material covering various styles throughout.

They're on my incredibly long want list. I'll get them sooner or later.

I'd say start with Thundersteel, Sons of Society and Immortal Soul but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Start with Thundersteel definitely.

Privilege of Power is my personal favorite out if the seven I own. Guess I like it most because it was my introduction to them, and also tell first time I heard trumpets in a metal album before. Narita or Thundersteel would be my next pick out of the ones I have.

Unleash the Fire and Armor of Light are excellent as well .

I like Fire Down Under the best (weird album cover notwithstanding)

Riot has 2 distinct periods : More Hard Rock / Early Heavy Metal phase , that lasted until 1983 and Power Metal phase , from 1988 until these days . I prefer the Power Metal albums , but I give a spin to their early Hard Rock stuff once in a while . My fave record by them is still Thundersteel .

Started off with “ Thundersteel “ - what a recommendation ! Played the CD 3 times now.
These guys must of been super wild in concert. I’m knocked out. A great purchase !
