| I usually make mp3 cds so I get a variety o' stuff. Last time I took:
Disc 1 & 2: Voodoo Funk mix discs from the website of Afro-funk, psych and jazz(these discs go on every trip) http://voodoofunk.blogspot.com/
Disc 3: the first two Quireboys albums and three Marc Ford solo albums.

Some I have like Hardcore Superstar, Nightwish, and Therion. I actually have a Hardcore Superstar song picked already but I forget which one it is. I think it was off the new album. The only other band I liked from the list was Lynam and they have a perfect song called Lyndsey Says. My gf's friend name is Lyndsey and after hearing the lyrics its sort of true cause sometimes she treats her bf like crap. Can't wait to put that one on the cd haha. _________________

My recommendations from the band would be:
Road To Eternity The Ones With The Fiery Eyes One Night Fall. Really? I just checked this band and didn't like it. I just know the guys voice alone will have my gf busting out laughing and I just might join her haha. _________________

Anyway heres cd 1 CD 1 1.INXS- Elegantly Waster 2.Audioslave- Original Fire 3.Evans Blue- Caught a lite Sneeze 4.Sublime- What I Got (she could have picked any song but no it had to be this stupid F'n song. This is my most hated song EVER!!!! Almost to the point I'm glad he's dead so theres no possibility theres a WHAT I GOT Part 2! GRRRRR....) 5.Lynam- Lindsey Says 6.Ozzy- Let Me Hear You Screa 7.Shiny Toy Guns- Ghost Town 8.Red Hot Chili Peppers- Higher Ground 9.Smashing Pumpkins- Stand Inside Your Love 10.Sixx AM- Accidents Can Happen 11.Ryan Adams- New York 12.The Cars- My Best Friends Girl 13.Snow Patrol- Spitting Games 14.Foo Fighters- Best Of You 15.Chevelle- Vitamin R 16.Dommin- I just died in your arms 17.Cheap Trick- Surrender 18.Chuck Mosely- Tractor 19.Incubus- Anna Molly 20. Elvenking- Heaven Is A Place On Earth _________________

| Hah, I love Sublime! We're working on a cover of 'Date Rape' in our band. Along with 'Surrender' and 'Higher Ground', 'What I Got' is probably one of the best tracks on that mix CD ;P _________________ | |

| If she's into that whole ska/power pop stuff that Sublime sometimes trades in, I can give you a ton of recommendations (most of which you'd probably hate). I went through a major ska/punk phase about 10 years ago and have tons of stuff by bands like Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Mustard Plug, Slapstick, Smashmouth, etc, etc, etc... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

- Ok everyone calm down, calm down. Yes I am going away this Thursday but I'll be back some time on Tuesday. I'll try to get in one last Mercyful Fate/King Diamond post before I leave. Anyway the girlfriend and I are going up to Diggmans Ferry in PA with 2 of her friends to some cabin they own. My luck it will right near Camp Crystal Lake, We all know what happened there haha. I'll just make sure theres no retarted kids around and if so If I see them drowning in the lake I'll be the first to save him, because I really don't feel like going through all the BS of getting hacked to death on my vacation. I rarely go anywhere as it is. So I'd rather save that stuff for when I'm home atleast, ya know? Anyway I'm really just babbling on here and most of you probably don't even read this part and skip to the bottom where theres a question mark. So here comes the question.
If you were to make some mix cds to take away with you on vacation in the woods, what would you put on those cds?
Mind you I don't want any death metal! I want a good mix of songs in the rock, hard rock, metal area. Nothing too crazy, I drive my gf crazy enough as it is haha. Hey man, I'm going to PA this weekend too. I'll be in Hanover visiting Mom. Anyway, you've got to include Alice Cooper - Constricter. He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask). The last five songs from Raise Your Fist And Yell will set the mood as well. Have fun.

| Well... I'm leaving tomorrow. I just now got done making all the cds. I made about 9. I was trying to write everything down what was on each cd but I got to about the 5th or 6th cd and I couldnt do it anymore and lost track haha. I do have some Bosstones on one of them I love them. Got some Ramones even snuck in some In Flames, Jag Panzer, Rhapsody, some other stuff I was liking like Shiny Toy Guns, crap I forget what else I'm so friggin tired haha. Maybe when I get back I'll write a final list of what I actually put on them. Should be an interesting trip. Talk to you all when I get back. Thanks for the recommendations too guys. _________________ | |

| Yea it went by pretty quick. We were suppose to come back yesturday but we stayed an extra day. It wasn't bad. Didn't really do much but hang around the cabin. We found a few things to do like bumper boats and went to a flea market (where I picked up yet another Maiden shirt). Drove around to some towns walked around and thats about it. We saw a lot of Deer. We were feeding them and they would almost come right to us but they were a bit skiddish. One morning I woke up to feed one of them, I look over at another cabin a few feet away and I see these big black feet moving. I was like HOLY CRAP ITS A FREAKIN' BEAR so I went back into the house haha. I went and got my gf cause I knew she wouldnt want to see it and when I came back down it was right outside the door of the cabin. Luckily it was a Cub and it was pretty much just minding its own business and looking for food. It eventually just walked away. We took some pictures of it while we were looking out the window. I'll post them in a minute. I was waiting to see the mother bear come by but she didn't. I'm sure she was around though somewhere.
Oh... almost forgot. We also went to a town called Centralia. Its also in PA. It was about 2 1/2 hours away from where we were staying but my gf went there a few years ago and she wanted to see what it looked like since she was last there. If no one has heard of Centralia heres a little bit about it. I took this from a website that someone wrote on the road there haha The story is simple – A once booming coal town in central Pennsylvania, Centralia has since become a real-life manifestation of what the apocalypse is probably (and hopefully) going to look like, whenever the earth chooses to suffer it. The story goes that a coal miner (or coal miners, can’t just blame one dude) accidentally started a fire one night near the mines. I’d make up an awesome story about how it happened, but I’d just be lying and no one would trust me anymore. Anyways, under normal circumstances, a fire this small wouldn’t be a problem. A fire in a town made entirely of a substance people burn to keep themselves warm, however, and what you have is a 48-year underground coal fire with no intent at stopping anytime in the foreseeable future, and a place that is well worth exploring.
So we went there and she said it changed a lot. There used to be signs saying the towns name but it was all taken down. I guess they will eventually take it off the map. Definetly creepy to walk through. Theres this long road that has cracks through it and spots where the road was lifted. You can see smoke still coming from under the ground as well. There are tons of drawings all over the ground now from people who visit. There are 2 cemetaries that for some wierd reason aren't affected by the fire underground. I took a picture of this really old looking cemetary. really spooky especially with some of the headstones, I haven't actually seen those kind in person on in movies or King Diamond cd booklets haha. I'll post those pictures as well. _________________
