| I thought about that too, absolutely love that album. I picked 'Pangaea' however because of the live madness of the thing, and how Davis was completely drug addled and fried from the road and you're just hearing this insanity of everything he did in the prior 10 years colliding somewhere in Japan. | |

| Heavy to me means down and sad. And thick distortion. Aggression doesn't necessarily come into it that much. Nor speed.
Doesn't mean I don't like 'heavy'. Generally I like heavy and fast music. And there's a sweet spot somewhere. After that, the heavier it gets the less I like it.
What I would consider the 'heaviest' album, is probably something I didn't like a lot. | |

| To my ears it goes back to high school, we were looking for the most distorted vocals and fastest, heaviest guitars. For my friends and I it was: Carcass: either Reek of Putrefaction or Symphonies of Sickness. I much prefer their later more melodic albums, but those still are killer.... | |
