Yeah, it's based on the comic, which I had actually never heard of until seeing the movie. It was pretty good, but slight, not much meat on the bones.

"The Entity" (1982) - psychological horror flick claiming to be "based on a true story"... kinda like a more intense/realistic "Poltergeist," about a single mom plagued by repeated spirit attacks, including numerous spectral rapes (!). Interesting stuff. I seem to remember this one causing a lot of controversy back in the day.

I saw that one in the theaters back in the day.

Don't remember a thing about it other than the "spectral rapes".

They made Clash Of The Titans a war movie. The actors couldn't have been worse. They took an awesome story and homogenized it to the point of annoyance. Absolutely an anal rape of the original movie. Horrible horrible horrible.

That pretty much mirrors what I've heard others say, I've avoided it on purpose.

Godzilla -vs- Gigan

Watched it with the girls. So, so cheesy. This may be one of the worst for goofiness and poor FX. Godzilla doing karate moves and blowing kisses to his defeated foes?!

Ah, though, it made for great laughs for the three of us.

I have a Gigan figure at work. It has a motion sensor that makes it's eyes light up and it emits this earsplitting scream. Needless to say, I keep the sensor turned off.

not so bad but missing point that's the bad thing. as a movie remake for new century it is average/good. but as recomended the original one is for sure.

Very well done! The acting was very good, the wrestling scenes were "amatuer-ish", but shot and walked through really well.

Yeah, I really liked that movie. Very depressing though.

Replicant. A Van Damme movie directed by Ringo Lam. Another dual role for Van Damme - he plays a serial killer and he also plays a telepathic clone of the killer who's grown as part of an experiment to catch the murderer (the film waves off the "but that doesn't make sense" argument by claiming it's a prototype for some top secret anti-terrorism project). Van Damme actually gives a good performance but the plot isn't very interesting and I wanted more action scenes.
