Annihilator - Metal

I finally had the guts to buy this one, and it's surprisingly good

Played this album today on my way to work.

It's really good, and gets better after each listen.

I bought this when it came out. It got panned but I found it to be a good listen

Looks like Jeff is doing a reboot of this album. Is he running out of ideas?? I love that he’s working with Dave Lombardo, but why not do a new album?

Like the line up, don't really like the idea. An album of new material with that line up would be awesome.

Funny, I was just listening to Annihilator's Waking the Fury yesterday for the first time in a looooong while and thinking that I lost track of this band many albums ago.

Lombardo and Jeff sounds like a dream team!

Yeah, that's where I bailed out too. I heard the first album with that guy (which I believe was All For You), went "Yuck!" and that was the last I bothered with them.

Not bad. But again, I don't really think this was necessary.

What a lineup, wow. The song wasn't all that great, but that extended solo sure was.

I don’t really hear any improvement. Even with Lombardo and Block on board…
Maybe it’s a production issue. Nothing stands out.

Great performance .

It's not quite what I've come to expect from Annihilator. Not on par with their older stuff, and Stu growls and grunts a little too much. But there is some sick guitar work that's for sure.
