| Great band!! Everything from ALICE ('89) up to and including WAKING THE FURY ('02) is pretty much gold in my book (with two possible exceptions: the commercial-leaning SET THE WORLD ON FIRE and the industrial tinged REMAINS. Both albums have their moments but they're not all time faves).
I hate the current vocalist so I haven't listened to anything they've put out since ALL FOR YOU in '04. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| From Waking The Fury back you can't go wrong. I love the Joe Comeau era! Wargod51 | |

| You HAVE to start with Alice In Hell and Never, Neverland. After that, like everyone has said, everything up to Waking The Fury is good stuff (minus Remains....I love Annihilator, but have never found anything on that album that perks my interest). All For You is decent, but was quite uneven. Some good tunes, but some DEFINITE filler. Schizo Deluxe was a MUCH better effort, and has some SMASHING thrashers on it. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| "NeverNeverland" is their best disc.
"Alice in Hell" isn't too far behind though.

| They're all good except for the last few with Dave Padden (that's his name, right?). His vocals are a little grating and take a while to get used to. Jeff Waters can still write some mean music though. | |

[url=http://spectrefate.blogspot.com/2009/08/annihilation-absolute.html http://spectrefate.blogspot.com/2009/08/annihilation-absolute.html[/quote[/url]] That's pretty cool. I might just download that set and get rid of my Annililator cd's. I just could never fully get into this band. Some good albums and some great songs, but overall I think it was the rotating door of vocalists over the years. No consistancy makes for a less-than-enjoyable listen for me. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Alice in Hell, Never Neverland, Waking the Fury... but Carnival Diablos is my personal favourite. Those two records Joe Comeau did with the band were amazing. Also check out the live album Double Live Annihilation.
I haven't picked up anything after Waking the Fury.

Does anyone else experience this also?

| For me Annihilator is an oddity. They have some KILLER riffs and passages, and some killer songs. Great playing. But their entire discography is littered with awkward lyrics and vocal deliveries, and lame songs. I mean some really stupid sounding stuff. Enough to where I have given up on them altogether, aside from the first two. I do like a good bit of what's on those albums. For me to want to own an album I have to like a large percentage of it, and can only stand very little dislike or annoyance. Annihilator gets bad enough that they are not worth the good, to me. | |
