Annihilator - Metal

I started out not liking this puppy very much. But repeated listening has done miracles for it! I really enjoy it now, and think it's Annihilator's best in maybe a decade!

OK, FINALLY scored a copy of this CD. What is everyone complaining about? It sounds like freakin' ANNIHILATOR! Shawn sent me a MP3 of "Clown Parade" and that was all it took to convince me. "Metal" indeed!

I like it.

i think the guest appearances add a little extra something to the CD . . but i bet it wudda still sound cool if it were just waters and backing band.

What are all those guys on Metal-Archives.com talking about. Those reviews are ridiculous, talking about selling out and such. Selling out to what? This is METAL, it's not a freakin' emo or metalcore album. One guy says 'sue for false advertising' because the name of the album is Metal and according to him, it's not.

I usually dont pay any attention to reviews,especially from guys who obviously dont know their ass from a hole in the ground.

thats an absurd statement as the riffs are plainly very heavy metal even though it is not as warp speed as early annihilaotor

They're just pissed cuz JW got so many modern Metal guests on it...I think that, had done the same songs with only his band, it'd be getting better reviews...

i never saw the problems with having guests becuase most of them only play solos on it and they pretty much all blaze

I figured that Jeff filled the album with a bunch of guest stars simply because he seems to be incapable of keeping a solid band lineup together and was tired of doing everything himself.

I never had a problem with it either. But I remember when the guest line up was announced a while back, before the album came out, people had already made up their minds that they were going to hate it...dumb.

Haven't heard this yet. I hope to snag a copy of it soon.

I haven't bought an Annihilator cd since Never, Neverland

Should have my copy tomorrow in the mail, need this to have my Annihilator collection complete.

Like i mentioned in the past Annihilator are exellent musically but are plagued with crap lyrics and all singers after the second guy i don't like.

I'm bumping this just because I finally was able to find a used copy today. I'm listening to it now and find it rather good. I think all the squawking about the guests is ridiculous. It doesn't distract at all. The Metal Archives reviews are absurd.I can see not liking an album but those idiots go out of their way to be insulting and see how vulgar they can be in doing so.Sorry,just had to vent a bit

I think this album is wretched. And Jeff Waters was my hero back in the day.

He desperately needs a co-writer/producer/something.

The vocal patterns for one are the same exact ones he's been doing for at least 10 years.
