- Fontana Distribution is the independent arm of Universal Music
& Video Distribution (UMVD) and was launched in 2004. It provides sales and marketing support, as well as back office services, for a diverse roster of labels and their artists.
Fontana distributes more than 70 labels including Vagrant Records, VP Records, American Gramaphone, Quango, Global Underground, Mad Science Recordings, Angeles Records, Nitro, SMC. Upstairs Records, Warcon, Dischord Records (via Southern Records) & many others. In addition, Fontana distributes select projects from UMG labels worldwide. I also went to the Fontana web site: - Quote :
- Fontana’s mission is to be the premier independent music
distribution company. A company where the artist comes first and the labels and their music get an unmatched level of passion and professionalism. We will strive to provide a quality of sales, marketing and backroom services that will exceed the expectations of both our label and retail partners. None of this information helps me. I still don't know where you get their stuff from. They don't have order information on their web site either. They even have a MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/fontanadistribution _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I wonder why they skipped over the entire Lick It Up through Asylum period of the band? I saw the band on ALL those tours, including the Crazy Nights tour. I remember the Asylum tour being especially cool (even if Gene did look like a cross dresser). _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

LOL - you mean the Prince Valient look? Guess he liked the way he dressed in trick or treat I wish they would have included the animalize tour video - guess Gene figures he can re-release that seperately and keep the revenue stream going for a while longer, and then he can release the appendix with shows/footage not included on KISSOLOGY

| There is simply nothing new on these DVD's, other than the facts that they are on DVD. I've owned VHS copies of everything here before. _________________ | |

| I've seen a lot of this material, but I am still interested in getting it on the DVD collection.
I think a lot of KISS die hards probably own some or most of this material, but wasn't most of it bootlegged? I don't think most of this stuff has been officially released. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Oh yeah, it was bootlegs alright. But I want to see something new. They must have hundreds of shows filmed that never reached the bootleggers greedy fingers. _________________ | |

| I've read that they have some incredible footage from the Dynasty tour that has never been released.
I was actually hoping for more Vinnie Vincent material on this DVD.
Did you like Vol. 1 kmorg? _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Not that I'm aware of. Paul & Gene still tour around Europe & Japan with Tommy Thayer & Eric Singer. If you believe what Gene says, KISS will be around forever. Once him & Paul decide to hang up the platform shoes, they'll hire other guys to slap on the face-paint and continue to tour. | |

I hope that never happens.

| I forget exactly where I heard that, but basically, that was Gene's response to the question "Is it wrong to be KISS in the original make-up without the original members?" Gene said something to the effect that "KISS is more than the people in the costumes playing the music. The idea of KISS is bigger than that and long after I'm gone, KISS can continue to live with other people taking on the roles of the Demon, Starchild, SpaceAce & the Cat-Man". | |

| I'm kinda disappointed by the way the years have been set up on this volume. I was really looking forward to a more in-depth look at their 80s work. I would've rather they release volumes based upon a four year timespan, like with the first volume.
But then again, I'm in the minority that actually likes KISS the band, and not just KISS the face-paint wearing band.

I saw the band several times during the 80's and was hoping for more of that era as well. Oh well, I am sure this will still be a great collection. In order for KISS to please everyone, I'm sure they'd have to release a ten volume collection.

That's actually how many volumes Eddie Trunk said it was going to be right before the first one came out. I understand something like '84-90 would never sell as well as the first few years or the reunion stuff, but it still sucks to not see the 80s years not get the respect it deserves.
